This little idea popped into my mind quite a while ago, like right after I saw the deleted scenes. Very short. Hopefully funny.
Disclaimer: -sigh- It's a real heartbreaker to have to do this every time. I do…not own them. Contains direct quotes from the movie. Well, all the quotes in quotations are from the movie. The movements also happened in the movies.

I watch my two middle son's interaction from the doorway for a while. I love Donatello, but he is just not a leader. A better choice than Raphael, I think. Unless Raphael would be able to allow me cake. The area in which Donatello is the strongest. Denying me my cake.
"First of all; this team you speak of doesn't exist anymore. Second of all…" Raphael trails off and turns around. I breathe a sigh of relief. I don't want a fight breaking out. But then Raphael turns around and looks like he's about to punch the reason for my cakeless existence, who gasps and drops whatever object was in his hand.
I decide I should step in. They'll notice me if I just come out to check for cake that Donatello may not have found and confiscated – unlikely. "Raphael." I step in, and walk closer to them. No cake around here. Not surprising. "Enough."
"Heh, heh. I think I made my point," Raphael just has to have the last word.
"That doesn't prove anything," Donatello exclaims, pointing at Raphael. Raphael ignores him and I watch as he flips up, using the wall, to the second story, and walks away from us both. I wonder if he has any cake in his room…
"Why couldn't you send him away for training?" the denier of cake mutters. I could almost feel sorry for him; if only he would give me cake. He deftly lowers his glasses and looks down at what he is working on. I don't know what it is though, only that it is not cake. … I miss cake.
My mind tells me to get back on track. These fights between Donatello and Raphael can not continue. Donatello must learn to be a leader while Leonardo is still gone. "Donatello. This home has become like an empty shell," I gesture at our home, trying to keep my hand from shaking of cake deprivation. "Each of your brother's has strength's and weaknesses." Donatello stares at me. Perhaps he knows I only want cake right now. "You must learn to be strong when they are weak." My second eldest son's shoulder's droop and he gives a small sigh. I hope he is about to cave in and give me cake! "If you don't learn to recognize this," I lean forward to emphasize my point, and gesture with my hand, "then all hope is lost for our family." Unless you give me cake.
He hasn't given me any cake yet and is making no moves to either. This time my shoulder's droop and I drop my face. I really wanted some cake…

See, short? Ahem. Kinda OOC…but poor Splinter. Man really wanted some cake!
