Chapter 1 Introducing the Walkers

This story is a mix of Commander in Chief and Brothers and sisters, Rod Walker, is the twin sister of Sarah Whedon, for the show. His mother is Nora, and his father William, the story will start with the death of William. Kitty is into politics and is still a republican. Hope you all enjoy.
Rod Walker was in his office in the Whitehouse, his wife had been president for a matter of days, and he hated the fact he or his kids never saw her quiet as much as they were accustomed to. The phone rang, tearing him away from this thoughts, he looked at the caller ID, and saw it was from his parents, probably his overbearing mother wanting to know why he couldn't make it home for his father's birthday party, Nora always wanted her kids all together and even Kitty has made it. Justin was also home he had been in Iraq, and he hadn't seen his younger brother since he had been there.
"Hello", he said picking up the phone, he was not ready for what he heard, his father had taken a heart attack, his mother was inconsolable, at least she had her other 5 kids with her, but he felt as the oldest son, he should also be there.
Rod knocked on the door to the Oval office, once inside he explained to his wife, what had just happened, Mac was upset, she has always admired William Walker, he had grown up not having very much, but had managed to be CEO of his won company Ojai foods, which he started from scratch and tried to keep a family business, which his children Tommy and Sarah both working there as well as Uncle Saul, their mothers brother.
Rod decided that the best thing for him to do, would be for the kids and him to fly to California to be with his family. Mackenzie would not be able to stay there for the same period of time, but she of course would go to her father in laws funeral. Rebecca, Horace and Amy were devastated, Horace and Rebecca were both named after their Grandfathers Parents, and were very close to him, especially since they were the eldest of the walker Grandkids, there was of course only the 3 of them and Paige and Cooper.
Rod, Horace, Becca and Amy arrived at their Grandparents house, after lots of hugs and kisses, Amy ran to play with Paige, her slightly older cousin, whilst Horace went to find Uncle Justin, and Becca went to her Aunt Kitty who she completely adored, Rebecca looked up to Kitty, she could talk to her about anything and they both shared the same political views which drove Nora and Mackenzie crazy. Nora was a complete liberal whilst Becca and Kitty were republican, Mackenzie tried not to associate her self with either, thus being an independent, this to Nora, made Mackenzie an honourable person, who did not let into people ease and always went with her own views.
Nora's other children were Sarah, who was Rods twin, she worked for her father, whilst her husband Joe, looked after their 2 kids 7 year old Paige and 4 year old Cooper. Kevin was a lawyer, and was also gay, this took a lot for this father to get over, but he always loved his son. Kitty was always estranged from her mother, but the death of her father has brought them back together. Tommy was a newly wed, he married his childhood sweetheart Julie, and they were currently trying for a baby. And the baby of the family was Justin, who was an MD with the Army, but what his family didn't realise was his dependency on drugs.
