A/N: Here's my latest Rose x Scorpius drabble-y ficlet. It's fluffy and pointless, but enjoy. R&R! Thanks! –Mac

Teeth-Chattering Cold
Rose mentally berated herself as she trudged along beside the edge of the lake. The fresh snow that had come in that morning reached her ankles, and was soaking into her jeans. She wrapped her arms around herself, and tried her best to not think about how cold she was.
Shivering, teeth-chattering, why-oh-why-did-you-forget-your-cloak cold.
If she hadn't rushed out of the castle so damn fast, she wouldn't be out in the cold, freezing, without a coat and too anxious to return to her Head's dormitory. Most likely he would still be there. She felt like an arse for treating him the way she had by running like that. But what did he expect her to do when he springs something like that on her?
Rose let out a frustrated cry—which covered the sound of footsteps coming up behind her. Her body gave a violent shiver, and she was started when a warm cloak was wrapped around her shoulders. She sighed and leaned into the warmth, before she looked over her shoulder to see who it was. Her eyes widened as she took him in. Now when she looks back on it, she thinks that maybe she shouldn't have been so surprised that it was him.
"Scorpius." She said quietly. "What are you doing out here?"
"You ran out without your cloak. We couldn't have you freezing to death, now could we?" Scorpius responded. "What would I do without you? I mean, who would be there to crack the whip and get me through NEWTS?"
Rose chuckled and pulled the cloak tighter around her. "I'm sorry I ran off. I feel so badly about it." She shrugged, the movement almost invisible under the folds of the cloak. "Shouldn't have done that to you."
"It's alright." Scorpius murmured. "I honestly didn't expect any less of you. I just felt that I couldn't not tell you. It wouldn't be fair to me and it wouldn't be fair to you either. You deserved better than me hiding it from you."
"And you deserved better than me running away from you!" Rose exclaimed. "It was so stupid and I'm so sorry."
"It's alright Rosie, I already told you that." Scorpius said. "I wanted you to know how I feel about you. You're not expected to feel the same—"
Rose cut him off, "But I do! That's why it was so stupid. I was just so startled, that I couldn't just stand there—"
Scorpius cut her off with a kiss. Rose decided she could be shivering, teeth-chattering, why-oh-why-did-you-forget-your-cloak, freezing cold, but she wouldn't care because she was with him.
