"I have decided," Sokka told her one warm morning while they were still at the Western Air Temple. "That you need to marry Zuko."

Katara dropped the entire pot of rice, shattering the pot and spilling their breakfast everywhere.

"What," she asked with a deadly gleam in her eye. "Gave you the idea that I would even want to marry Zuko?"

Sokka cheerfully ignored her death glare. "Well, I like him. We're good friends, Zuko and I. We had a lot of fun at the Boiling Rock. So I've decided that I'd like to keep him around for awhile." He took a long gulp of tea before continuing. "Besides, if the two of you get married, Zuko and I can be brother-in-laws!"

Katara's jaw dropped. "I can't believe you."

"What's there to believe?"

"I'M NOT MARRYING ZUKO I HATE HIM!"

"Actually," her Father said as he came strolling into the room. "I rather like Zuko. He helped me escape from prison, after all."

Sokka nodded. "Right. We approve of him."

"I've always wanted a second son." Hakoda had a dreamy smile on his face. "And that boy needs another father-figure who isn't his Uncle."

Sokka grinned wildly. "And I want a brother! Zuko would be an awesome brother! We could go hunting, and go fishing, and--"

"OH GOD I HATE YOU BOTH."

"—and eat meat and go drinking—"

"If you love Zuko so much, why don't you marry him?!" Katara screamed, praying to the spirits that this was hopefully just a really awkward dream.

"Well, I would." Sokka shrugged. "But I like Suki more. She's a better kisser."

Katara promptly fainted.

Hakoda looked over at his daughter's fainted form. "Does this mean we still get to plan the wedding?"

Sokka smiled. "Oh, I hope so! Katara would look lovely in a lavender wedding dress, don't you think?"

As it turned out, it really was just a dream.

But that didn't make Katara feel any better.

A/N: Sokka and Zuko would be brother-in-laws. That's the best reason for Zutara I think I've ever heard. :D
