Lost...

On a cold winters day, it is best to dress warmly. Unfortunately, Odd hadn't thought that far ahead. He just knew that he had to leave. His parents were being loud. He hated it when they were loud. They had been loud a lot lately. So he ran. He ran away from his house.

Cold...

Odd wrapped his arms around himself tightly, hoping to contain the little warmth he still had within himself. He past another house, and was delighted to smell the fragrance of a warm pie, perhaps apple, for dessert at that house. It pleased him for a short while, but then his stomach began to rumble.

Hungry...

Odd kept walking, trying to ignore his hunger pains and the sting of the cold wind as it slapped his hair across his face. He was a strange little boy, only 6 years old, 7 at most. He wore a purple jacket, with violet pants to match, and clutched a teddy bear to his chest. The Teddy was very old, with many patches and one missing eye. Odd past the last row of houses, leading him into what seemed to be a forest.

Alone...

Odd sucked in a breath, and stepped into the forest. He immediately heard a long, low howl. He jumped, and fled into the forest, which ironically was probably where the sound was coming from. It was very dark in this forest, and everything seemed to come alive in the darkness. Everything made him jump, any little sound made him whimper.

Afraid...

Odd looked around. "Where am I?"
