I was reading the Kakashi Chronicles, and was struck by the part where Obito said that he could see the future if Kakashi took his eye. Then I kept staring at the page where Kakashi had crawled out of the hole and his new Sharingan eye was crying. I went to do something, intending to come back and write a fic about it, but forgot my idea. So I started flipping through the manga and, thank goodness, remembered my idea. So here it is. For some reason, I can only write sad Kakashi stories. But I hope you all like it! Please read and review!

Kakashi never cried. Even with all that he went through, not a single tear ever escaped his eyes. He believed crying was useless. It solved nothing. Whatever life threw at him, he stayed the same.
Kakashi stood firm. He didn't cry.
Kakashi revered his father as a hero. The White Fang of Konoha was known world-wide, and was more powerful than the Sannin. But fame didn't last forever. He was shamed for making a decision to save his comrades rather than finish his mission. He gave up on living. He killed himself, and his small son discovered the body.
Kakashi stood firm. He didn't cry.
The day Obito died was a dark day, indeed. Rin was sobbing. She had never before seen anyone die. To have a comrade -a friend- die in front of her made it worse. She did manage to successfully transplant Obito's left eye into Kakashi without breaking down into tears.
Kakashi stood firm. He didn't cry.
But Obito's eye cried.
The night the nine-tailed fox attacked Konoha, Kakashi knew instinctively that Minato would give up his life. The boy yelled at his sensei -begging him not to do it- but to no avail. His sensei knew that, as Hokage, he had a duty to save his village, his people. Minato died saving the village.
Rin once again broke into hysterical sobs. Not only had she lost Obito, but now their beloved sensei was gone, too. All that remained of him was a name carved into stone and a baby who cried uncontrollably, as if sensing that his father was dead.
Kakashi stood firm. He didn't cry.
But Obito's eye cried.
Kakashi and Rin -the only two surviving members of their team- clung to each other, not willing to lose another teammate and friend. They both grew in their abilities. Kakashi became known as Sharingan Kakashi, and Rin became an excellent medical ninja.
It was because of her skills that she was selected for an S-ranked mission. Kakashi was worried about it, but it was an order, so off she went. Neither of them dreamed that the day she left would be the last time they would ever see each other.
The day of her funeral was sunny and warm. Every ninja who knew her was there. Some of her medic friends were fighting back tears.
Kakashi stood firm. He didn't cry.
But Obito's eye cried.
Whenever a Konoha ninja stopped him and exclaimed over how well he was doing with his Sharingan eye, he would smile slightly under his mask.
"No." He would say. "It's not my eye. It's Obito's eye."
And then he would turn his back, not wanting the person to see the moisture gathering in Obito's eye.
He didn't cry, but it didn't matter.
Obito's eye cried for him.
