Derrick Harrington wasn't just about to forget her. Her stupid disses. Her stupid acronyms. Her immaturity and insecurities.
…Her amber eyes. Her glossy hair. Her tinkling laugh. Her ability to verabally slap anyone she wished…
He couldn't forget her, period. No matter how much he wanted to. Maybe it was because he remembered what she'd said about him. Maybe it was because of what he'd said about her. Maybe it was because he regretted what happened at Skye's.
Maybe it was because he didn't.
I'm in love with the girl I hate
She enjoys pointing out every bad thing about me.
I'm in love with a critic and a sceptic, a traitor
I'd trade her in a second.
He found himself walking by her at lunch. He'd say something rude to her and she'd say something rude to him back.
But he wished he hadn't screwed up. He wished they could start over. He wished he could kiss her like they did at Lake Placid.
It wasn't like that. It never would be like that again.
She's a backseat driver, a drama provider
An instant update of the world.
She's a first class liar, a constant forgetter.
(She's attractive but bitter)
Did you scream enough to make her cry?
Did you turn around, turn around
Baby, don't return to me
If you think that I'm not worth your time.
She's a lady and ladies shouldn't be messed with.

He was wandering again. Past his house, past the Brickview, past Alicias, until finally, finally he was at Massie's front gate.
He took out his phone, dialed her number with 67 in front.
"Massie?"
"Who is this?" She asked, skeptically.
"I'm outside your front door," he sighed.
She hung up. A few seconds later, he could hear the front door open.
He hopped the fence, clearly taking her by surprise.
Before she had a chance to speak, he ran up to her, pressed his lips to hers, and kissed her.
She relaxed and gave in. She was kissing him back, arms around him and slowly swaying side to side.
"Derrick," she whispered. "We should talk."
So here I am and I leave
And I'm waiting for you, waiting for you.
Come back, come back to me
And I'll take you gladly and I'll take you in again.
