Haruhi looked blankly at her only female friend and confidante. "What do you mean Yoi-Chan?"

Black, curly hair fell into a pretty face as the girl rolled her head on the floor to look meaningfully at her younger friend. "Exactly what I said, Ha-Chan. Men are dogs, no matter how innocent they look."

Haruhi took this information in thoughtfully. "Well, then how would you determine one from another. They can't all be dogs Yoi."

The pretty girl rolled onto her stomach, a wry smirk gracing her lips as she rested her chin in her hands. "Do they fantasize about you constantly? Treat you like a pet to be played with at their convenience? Use you ruthlessly, no matter how much you protest? Who knows what they're thinking under the surface, but those are the dogs. The worst kind."

Yoi stretched out much like a cat, tan skin glowing in the soft fluorescent lights of the living room. She sat back on her heels, holding her sister-like friend in a firm chocolate brown gaze, smirk still in place. "Who's to say that those 'innocent' fantasies don't become something different at night? Or the pet-like treatment becomes beyond possessive? Even the ruthless can fall into lustful action, Haruhi. It's why I don't like those friends of yours at that Host Club." She pouted.

Haruhi smiled.

"They're not that bad Yoi-Chan. I've got it under control."

"Hmm." Yoi tapped at her chin thoughtfully. "I'm still going in to meet these 'friends' of yours Ha-Chan. Maybe there might be one I can approve of..."

A choked sputter dragged Yoi out of her thoughtful pose.

"No! That's not necessary Yoi! You make it sound like I'm going to marry one of them!"

"Hn." Yoi stood, brushing invisible dust off of her pants. "We'll see, Ha-Chan. Men might be dogs, God help our souls, but that doesn't stop us women from falling in love with them, now does it?"
