Chapter 10

Electricity. Thats what she felt running through out her whole body, something she had not felt in a very long time. She knew what it meant as she stared at the green eyed espada that was still holding her hand. She looked away. Guilt rushed to her heart, his face suddenly appeared in her mind. She realized she had not thought of him in a while, someone else had occupied her thoughts. Was she forgetting the man she said she was in love with? She suddenly had a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that made her question herself. What was she doing? Was this okay? Was it fair? There's no denying it, she wanted more than friendship from the espada. She looked again at his hand that was still holding hers and then up to his lips.

"What are you thinking about woman?"

I want you.

'Nothing." she said as she smiled.

"You've never been a good liar."

"How do you know that I'm lying?"

Ulquiorra stopped walking beside her and was in front of her, so close that her eyes widened with surprise. He looked straight into her eyes and gently caressed her cheek. His other hand was on her side, pulling her closer to him.

"Your cheeks turn pink."

His finger gently touched her lips.

"Your smile is not the same."

His finger then slowly moved from her lips down to her neck and then to her chest. His hand spread open, pressing on to the middle of her chest. His eyes still locked on to hers.

"And your heart beats faster."

Orihime's face was bright red, her heart felt like it was going to pop out of her chest. Ulquiorra was still holding onto her close, he leaned in to whisper in her ear.

"That's how I know you're lying woman."

Ulquiorra slowly let her go and proceeded to put his hands into his pockets.

"Now that we made that clear, are you going to tell me what you've been thinking about?"

Orihime was still in shock about what just happened. Not only that, how was she going to tell Ulquiorra that she was confused about her feelings. She was supposed to love Ichigo but when she was with Ulquiorra she felt different. She wanted something more. How can she be sure though? There's no point in lying to him now because he would know.

"I don't know how to say it."

What is this woman trying to tell me?

"Say it."

"I want you." said a blushing Orihime. "But I feel guilty."

Ulquiorra stared at Orihime, he knew what she meant.

Ichigo. She's feeling guilty because of him.

Urquiorra didn't like that she felt guilt but at the same time he thought about what she said about wanting him. The steps are working, she started to feel something more for him. The guilt is not a set back but something good. He had to use it to his advantage. Soon enough she won't feel guilt, she wont feel anything at all for Ichigo.

"You want me?" asked Ulquiorra

Orihime was beyond red, she's purple now.

"Y-yes."

Her nervousness only fueled him.

"What exactly do you want from me?" asked Ulquiorra.

"I don't kn-

Ulquiorra grabbed Orihime by her waist and pulled her close to him. Orihime's eyes widened, but then closed to give in to his lips. He was kissing her passionately while she wrapped her arms around his neck. She grabbed his hair harder while her body pushed onto his. They both gasped for air but didn't stop. His hands started to go up from her waist, he wanted to touch her more but resisted. He grabbed her face instead and kissed her even harder. She let out a small moan and when Ulquiorra heard her it made him want her right then and there. He stopped. He knew if they continued he wouldn't be able to control himself.

"Did you feel any guilt just now?" asked Ulquiorra

His question surprised her, she didn't know what to say. She didn't feel guilt when his lips were on hers, she wanted more. She was too embarrassed to admit that it was only him on her mind and the only feeling she felt was that she yearned for more. He could tell by her silence that he should not persist with the subject. The night got colder and he knew it was time for them to go back to their rooms. He looked straight into her eyes, she was still blushing.

"I'll take that guilt away from you soon Orihime."

You're not even going to remember Ichigo.

Ulquiorra grabbed her hand once more to walk her back to las noches. He told her he would see her in the morning and she nodded. She jumped onto her bed and couldn't believe what had just happened. How was she going to go back to sleep now? So many things were going through her mind.

"Good mooooooorning Ulquiiiii-chaaan!"

Ulquiorra was in his room, not wanting to answer the door. He then noticed the door knob turned and Gin was already inside.

How? I must've forgotten to-

"Oh wow you left the door open! Thats a first! Does this mean you've accepted me as your bff?"

"What?"

"I always have to sneak in or bribe you to let me in. You finally WILLINGLY let me in and it makes me so happy!"

"Gin."

"Now we can start borrowing each others things! I do need your helmet for tomorrow like around 8iiiiish, 9 isssssh."

"No and what do you want Gin."

"Umm we have to talk about the next step.. duh!"

Ulquiorra remembered last night's kiss. He was not sure if he should mention it to Gin.

"The next step is SEX!"

Ulquiorra eyes widened.

"Oh wait! sorry I think I skipped a few.."

Gin looked down at his paper and pointed with his finger at the correct step.

"Ooops! sorry about that! Well unless you want to skip a few. ey? ey?"

Ulquiorra looked at Gin with a blank face.

"Kidding! Alright next step is 'passionate kiss'. So you have to take it up a notch from your lame pecks."

"We can check that off."

Gin was taken back a bit.

"Ulqui-chan? Oh you dirty dog you…when was this?"

"Gin, its done. You don't need to know th-

"The details? Umm yeah I do. You went rogue, so I need to know what happened to see how we can continue the steps."

Ulquiorra wasn't sure if Gin was right or if he just wanted to gossip. He told him what happened last night anyways.

"So she felt a bit guilty? Which is only normal. She left her boyfriend to save him and now she's sucking face with the enemy. Understandable."

Gin grabbed a pen from Ulquiorra's desk.

"She started to fall for you. We are progressing well.."

Gin checked off step 9 on the list.

"This is the time when you need to romance her. She needs to get wowed, swept off her feet. You have a piece of her heart right now but we need the whole."

"What's the next step?"

"SEX."

Ulquiorra stomach dropped.

"Kidding yet again! Just got so serious all of the sudden. Okay so the next ste-

"Gin, this is the last time you mention sex unless its the actual step."

"Are you not looking forward to it? Seemed like you enjoyed last night's kiss."

Ulquiorra wanted more than the kiss but he's not telling Gin that.

"There was nothing to enjoy, it was just a kiss for the mission. I don't look forward to any of the steps."

"You sure about that?"

"Yes."

I wonder if he's a virgin…he has to be. Can't wait to ask him later….

"Alright well the next step is to take her out on another date but you need to go all out. Maybe cook her a nice dinner, bring her flowers and maybe buy her a gift!"

"I don't know how to cook."

"Get a cook book from the human world!"

"There's no flowers here."

"Human world!"

"We have no stores here to buy gifts."

"Human world!"

Ulquiorra was not thrilled about going to the human world. Last time he went was for ice cream and he ended up stealing the whole store. Everything he needed for the next step was there so he had no choice. Plus, it was for Orihime.

"I'll go to the human world. Where should I go?"

"Karakura town mall."

"I'll leave shortly."

"Now thinking about it, I do need to do some shopping. Maybe I can go with y-

Ulquiorra was already out of his room. He was not about to go shopping with Gin.

"Ugh so much for bff time."

It was a sunny afternoon in Karakura town, sky was filled with clouds and people were going out and about with their usual lives. He watched as people walked passed him, not having a clue of his existence. Of course he suppressed his reiatsu, he did not want to encounter any unnecessary fights. He went to Karakura mall and noticed people going in and out of stores. There was so many people, he hated being there. He had no idea what to get Orihime, there was so many things. He first looked at a music store, had no idea what music she liked. Next was a clothing store but didn't like anything, he thought she looked nice already with her arrancar outfit. He continued walking and noticed an Ice cream shop.

Ice cream…..

Ulquiorra hesitated, he debated in his head if he should take some like last time or just keep walking.

No I shouldn't ..

Ulquiorra started to walk away but then turned back again to look at the ice cream shop.

I'll get some before I leave….

Ulquiorra continued to look around and noticed someone from afar that he wasn't expecting, yet he was not surprised. It was Gin with a huge smile carrying three bags out of a clothing store. Ulquiorra had to avoid him at any cost, he did not want to shop with Gin.

"Ulquiorra! What you doing here?!"

Damn it.

Ulquiorra had his back turned, so he pretended to not hear him and continued walking.

"I know you saw me!" yelled Gin while running with his arms filled with shopping bags."

"Gin… what are you doing here?"

"I…need..ed…a….new…hat…and ..clothes… why..you ..walk so…fast!" said an out of breath Gin.

Ulquiorra starred at Gin, he had no words. He didn't fight it, he started walking with Gin at the mall.

"Sooooooo…whatchu get Orihime?"

"I haven't decided yet."

"That sweater over there is cute!"

"No."

"How about those shoes!"

"No"

"Ouuu girls love make up… let go look at tha-"

"No..She doesn't need any."

"Oh there's a book store.. lets look at a-"

"No."

"These sunglasses are nice!"

"Since it so sunny in Hueco Mundo…No."

"Ouu lala lingerieeee…look at the bras and lacey underwear…"

"…"

"Umm…I was actually joking about that."

"I know.. Just got tired of repeating myself."

"Uhhh huh. Oh! Look at the puppies! Get her a puppy!"

"No."

Gin went inside the pet store. He looked at the puppies through the glass, he wanted to pet them so bad. Ulquiorra turned and something caught his eye. He walked towards the store and instantly knew that he should get it for Orihime. He grabbed it and put it inside his pocket. He turned back to look at Gin and he was now behind the glass, playing with the puppies.

Damn it Gin.

Luckily, no humans could see him. Ulquiorra got everything he needed, so he went back to Las Noches.

He walked into Orihime's room and noticed she was asleep. He had a bouquet of flowers and a small box that he placed on top of her desk. He walked towards her and noticed her hair was on her face. He sat next to her on her bed and stroked her hair gently, moving it away from her face.

She's so pretty.

Orihime opened her eyes and smiled when she realized who it was.

"Hi!"

"Hello Orihime."

"Were you here for long?"

"No, just arrived."

"Oh! Is it dinner time yet? "

"Yes."

Orihime noticed a large bouquet of flowers on her desk. It was a dozen pink peonies, her favorite.

"Are those for me?"

"Yes, do you like them?"

Orihime got up from her bed and grabbed her flowers. She smelled them and had a huge smile one her face.

" I love them.. how did you know?"

"I just know." said Ulquiorra.

"Thank you!"

Next to the flowers was a small box that was poorly wrapped. Ulquiorra was not good at wrapping presents.

"What's this?"

"Open it."

A blushing Orihime looked up at Ulquiorra with a huge smile. She started to unwrap the small box, took her a while since there was so much tape.

Woah he really wrapped it..

Orihime eyes widen. She was speechless.

Why isn't she saying anything? Does she not like it? She better like it.

"This is beautiful. I'm in awe..."

I can't believe he got me this...He's so sweet.

Orihime was holding onto a crescent moon pendant necklace. It was filled with diamonds, it was so sparkly.

"It reminded me of you."

"Ulquiorra...I love it! Can you please help me put it on?"

Ulquiorra grabbed the necklace while Orihime set her hair to the side. She felt his cold boney fingers on her neck. She looked at herself in the mirror with the necklace and thought how lucky she was to have Ulquiorra in her life. She felt so happy. She turned back to look at him and she kissed him.

"Thank you."

She kissed me…I think she's really starting to fall for me

Ulquiorra liked the fact that she initiated the kiss. She had never done that before, it meant that maybe she was letting go of her guilt and actually opening her heart more to him. Ulquiorra felt a bit of happiness but wasn't sure if it was for him or for the mission. He didn't want to admit it to himself but he liked the feeling of being wanted.

"I had also planned to make you dinner."

"What?! You made dinner too?"

Ulquiorra put his hands in his pockets and looked away from Orihime.

"I tried to make it but it was disgusting."

"Aw! haha really?"

"I made the cook try it first, his face said it all."

"Wait you didn't try it yourself?"

"Not after his reaction."

"hahahah! So what are we going to eat?"

"The cook made ramen. How does that sound?"

"Ahhhhh! Sounds perfect!"

MEANWHILE

"Ugh! I cant believe Ulquiorra left me at the mall! I looked everywhere for him and now I'm starving!"

Gin walked in to the kitchen to look for some food. He looked inside the fridge and noticed a wrapped container with a note on top written 'For Gin'.

For me?!

"But this is Ulquiorra's handwriting…how is this possible? Why?"

Gin felt like it was out of character for Ulquiorra to even talk to him, let alone cook for him.

He probably felt bad for leaving me at the mall. But wait...Ulquiorra wouldn't care. So that can't be it….. oh he was cooking for Orihime...this must be some left overs. He probably thought that I should try some!

"Well Isn't he sweet! I forgive you for leaving me Ulqui-chan!"

Gin took a bite of Ulquiorra's food.

Orihime and Ulquiorra were eating their ramen when they suddenly heard a lot of screaming. It sounded like someone was dying.

"Omg you hear that? What is that?" asked Orihime

Ulquiorra kept eating his ramen.

"It sounds like a dying animal throwing up…should you check?"

"Its probably Gin."

"Gin?"

"He always exaggerates. Dont mind him."

"Oh…okay."

Orihime and Ulquiorra continued eating their delicious ramen.
