Chapter 11: Getting Answers

Holy mother of Theresa I'm sorry all I was gone for a while but that's life for you, family, friends and work can hit ya. So don't think I abandoned the stories I posted for you. I'm not leaving and I'm not giving up so I ask you stay with me.

Once again I do not own Sonic or his friends. Sega owns them, I only own Raul, Rose, Max, Oscar and Frank. You wanna borrow them let me know and please be specific in what you want from them.

'How the hell did I get in here...why the hell am I out here?' thought Shadow as he walked through the jungle heading for Acorn Castle, sword in hand and a silenced handgun holstered as he walked. Closing his eyes he started to feel for any trace of sentries as he head to the main gate of the castle, he then started to move faster than anyone to hear as he dodge another guard's visual.

'Shadow what the fuck are you doing in a god damn jungle, at night sneaking to a fortified castle when your friends are out tryin to stop Black Doom's army and Eggman's main branch?' thought the Black hedgehog as he snuck into the rear where two sleeping black arms soldiers were posted.

Working methodically he knocked on out and the other he stabbed with his sword. Taking its Hyper Shot he snuck inside the castle and sighed as he saw the castle was changed. Instead of the glorious halls and white wall hand sculpted crafts, Shadow what was remade to look like the inside of the Black Comet. Blackish red granite walls with pulsing red and pink points of secretions where either Black Larva or Arms come from while spike like stalagmites surround the area where great banquets and statues were held.

Suppressing the shiver up his spine, Shadow pressed on through with great stealth and speed to the Throne room. After a few twist and turns he made it to Sally's Room. As he entered the room, he was surprised to see it still the same even after the Black Arms occupied the castle. He then took this as chance to inspect his girlfriend's room and see if there's something he can use.

On Sally's bedstead was a small dagger that he took along with a small item he decide to give Sally when he gets back to the Camp and others. Leaving the room he then made his way to the throne room when he felt he was followed by something, when he turned he saw nothing. Not fooled he pulled his handgun out and took aim around the walls scanning for any sign of disturbance. Seening none he moved back to the throne room.

Little did he know he was followed. A black and purple like object was following him with a feral cat eye gliding silently, one that followed since he knocked out the guards from the entrance, from where he walked into Sally's bed room, one that followed him since his adventures from Westopolis to the Space Colony Ark.

It was Black Doom's Eye.

300 Miles South from Sakura Hill

6 figures were on the body of the X Tornado when it was seen in flight while 2 flew and the other was on a Extreme gear, which suprised the group when revieled. Apart from that they were heading for the Night Ruins that hosted the championship for the EX Grand Prix that Sonic himself lost to the Babylon Rogues once. Dispite this, the blue hedgehog defended his title as the fastest in the world.

"How much farther till we get there Tails!?" Shouted Sonic from the wing of the plane.

"Not much! Just be ready for negotiation! Remember, Jet and his bunch still doesnt like us!" Shouted the twin tailed Kitsune as he looked for any sign of the floating gardens.

As he looked he sighed knowing how it may turned out. As he did he saw Raul's Extreme gear pull up faster up ahead. It came as a suprise to them all that Raul had a Extreme Gear as well. But were doubly suprised when they saw the emblem on it. He seen it before on Storm the Albatross' board that Knuckles had knocked off where they had their first encounter with the Rogues.

As they sped they only wonder what more they can learn from Raul's past and such when they headed to their goal. The answer was something they needed as well as warn the leader. Little did they know, two people were watching them from a mile away.

As the Sonic team was traveling towards the Babylon Gardens, one figure grunted and kept its eyes on Sonic then shifted down. It was none other than a black arms team and one of Snivelly's best men. Dispite escape from Knothole, Snivelly wanted Sonic's and Raul's head for causing a failure with his uncle. The bonus was that he was going to get the Babylon Rogues as well so that he can gain more favor.

"They're too close to the Gardens now...we have to spring the ambush.." said a Black Arms alien along side Snivelly who growled watching the two sides meet up. As he said this he saw 5 new people come out of the Garden and began a conversation with the Heroes.

"Not Yet...we wait for the best moment..." Said Snivelly arrogant again.

The Black Arms alien growled and gave the word. Snivelly angerly belittled the Alien as the main force of both Swat Bots and Black Arms attacked the Mobians and Babylon Rogues.

All they got was disaster yet again.

"Incoming!" Shouted Raul as he turned to the others for the late warning alarm Tails' Aircraft blared. It was a second too late as the inbound Plasma shot hit the wing of the X-Typhoon causing Tails to lower for an landing while Sonic, Raul and Silver got off their boards and took a look around.

They saw two black arms with their guns pointed at them as they got up. Enraged that his plane was once again wrecked, Tails didn't even bother to listen to reason or warning, he grabbed the nearst item near him and charge the aliens while screaming like a maniac. As they saw the genius fox loosing his mind, Sonic and Silver got up and helped him as best as they can using their swords.

As the others came to, they were surrounded by a group that matched the group's strength, causing the rest of the Heroes to get involved as Sonic, Tails, and Silver headed back with Tails covered in a couple of cuts. Sonic ended up pulling him out of the fray after he beaten one's stomach in with a monkey wrench. As for Silver he was tasked to deal with the unlucky one's partner.

Despite their heroism and bravery, the Heroes were being pushed back to a submitting position. In the end all it took was a knock out on Knuckles and Raul who were the main hitters of the group. As for Max and Frank, they were still knocked out from the crash and Rose was on her knees when they all heard a familiar snicker.

"Well well well...how have the tables turned. I'd knew you were easy to defeat when planned right. " Smirked Snievlly as he help Sonic's face up to look at him as he grabbed a dagger and held it to his throat.

"After all these years...all the chances I had...you finally die." grinned Snievlly as he smirks ready to stab Sonic when he heard two grunts of pain hit behind him.

"What!?" was all he was able to get out when a silver pole hit his jaw knocking him out. Sonic looked up then saw something that was puzzling. It was a Puma like sillouette, how ever it was more beefed up than what Raul was. And this one's hair was way shorter than his.

"Raul?"

The figure didn't respond but did the one thing the Hedgehog didn't expect.

He slammed the pole hard into Sonic's temple then to turned. As Sonic fell he saw Raul already knocked out on the ground and behind him holding him was Storm who was looking smug, Tails and the others were being herded to a car while Jet was in the Driver's seat. The figure then spoke, the voice more deeper than Raul's.

"No...Not Raul...old friend..." he then lifted Sonic over his shoulder and carried him while the Rogues took the Sonic Team. It was the last thing Sonic saw till he blacked out.

"This was fucked!" shouted a voice as Sonic was out cold.

"Well don't blame me! I had nothing to do with it!"

"NOTHING!? THAT FUCKING PUMA KNOWS YOU!" the voice now louder.

"I was gonna tell you! Never mind that now! How's Blue Boy?"

Sonic then felt two hands rub his head and cheek, they were softer than silk.

"He's just knocked out...he'll be fine...Raul...Do you really know that puma?" said the caresser

"...Yeah..." Raul responded.

"Well don't keep us in the dark hun...who is he?" said a voice to Sonic's right.

"...it's a Long story."

A punching sound is then heard after Raul explained this. It followed by a yell causing Sonic to open his eyes weakly.

"THEN TELL US! IF YOUR WITH THOSE BIRD BRAINS I'LL KICK YOUR SORRY ASS UP THAT HILL AND BACK IF YOUR JUST A PART OF THIS!" Shouted the Puncher.

Sonic then came to at this point, what he saw was nothing short of the word childish. Tails and Cream were huddled in a corner, hugging them was Rose and Max as Rouge was looking as well shakey. Amy had Sonic's head in her lap rubbing it with a cloth, while Blaze was struggling under Omega who was restraining her. It looked like her and Rose were dead set to stop something. He then turned to the yeller. It shocked him.

It was Knuckles, Silver and Raul. Silver had Raul's Spear and Sword in hand while holding him in a psychic hold while Knuckles did the honor of punching Raul for information.

"Well!? Are you gonna tell us or am I gonna have to cave your head in!?" shouted the Guardian as he threw a punch to Raul's already bruised stomach and abs.

"Oof!~!"

"I can keep this up all day!" another punch.

"Ahhhh fuck! I'll talk if you stop!"

"THEN TALK BITCH!" another punch to the face this time causing blood to be spilt. Sonic then woke up fully and got up gently to stop Knuckles.

Knuckles then turned and saw Sonic up.

"You wanted a turn? Be my guest. He needs some—Oooof!" was all he said as Sonic gave him a sharp knee to the rib cage causing the Echidna to fall to his knee. As he did he then dashed behind Silver and slamed him on his head.

"What was that for!?" Silver shouted as he too got up rubbing his head.

"Why the fuck are you two even hitting him!? He had nothing to do with this!" Said the Blue Hedgehog as he helped Raul up.

"He's lying! He knocked you out!" shouted Knuckles as he got up but was restrained by Rouge.

"Knux! Let him talk! He was going to till you wailed on him!" Said the bat as she nodded to Amy who followed and hit Knuckles in the back of the head with her Hammer just enough to calm him down as he slumped to his knees.

"Ok. Now talk." Said Sonic to Raul as Raul got up and wiped his blood off.

"...I used to be one of the Babylon Rogues. Thats why I have their board...and swords." Said Raul as he nodded to his Hawk Edges.

"Used to?" Asked Tails as he got up to help Amy dress and bandage the others.

"I joined them about 2 years after I left GUN. I was with them with the other Puma. At least till the first EX Gear Grand Prix. I would have raced too but I was busy with a perosnal issue." Said Raul as he looked at the Team.

"What issue?" said Knuckles growling.

"When I heard you three were gonna race them I left. I knew they were gonna use me against you guy's but I didn't want to be used again."

"Again? What do you mean Mr. Raul?" Cream asked politely asked.

"Now THAT I wont tell about. But the fact is I was a Rogue was why we are here. I'm not exactly matey with em myself." Raul said sighing.

"Cuz you stoled their board and swords?"

"Well...Jet said I didn't but Storm and to one more Rogue...I did. They didn't take it kindly they heard I left. Jet tracked me to Aquatic Ruins then demanded the reason I left. I told and he let it go but...Storm and the other ended up fighting with me. I beaten the Puma badly till he swore a rematch."

"Who is this Puma then...?" asked Sonic raising his eyebrow.

"...His OLDER brother..." a voice from behind as they all turned.

They all turned and saw the Babylon Rogues there. Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow, Storm the Albatross and two more members were with them. One was a Hedgehogette that had long green quills with icy like blue eyes and wore a black tank top that had the emblem of the Rogues on the right breast, her pants were blue with a tear down the thigh to the knee and a red scarf around her neck.

The puma was the shocker. He had shorter hair and a lot more muscle than him with a burgundy sleeveless shirt with a pair of dark grey jeans with white shoes, on his back was a sword similar to Raul's but it was a solo accompanied by a 3 section staff made from a polished metal. Other than that he was exactly like Raul but with no scars and older look.

"WHAT!?" screamed the Sonic team. All but Raul who just growled.

The teams looked between the Pumas. Sonic broke it.

"Raul is it true?"

"Yeah...hes my dear older Bro.." growled Raul teeth baring. It was clear the two didn't get along.

"Wait...Oscar? That you!?" asked Frank who was waking up as he turned to two.

"Hey Frankie...long time...didn't expect you though...Sonic." Said Oscar as he looked at the Blue Hedgie.

"Never had all the memory in my head...but I kinda did remember you two were friendlier in the past." Said Sonic as he looked between Raul and Oscar.

"Times change people...So does theivery." said Oscar as he looked at his brother.

"So how have you been lil bro...came back to return whats ours?"

" Maybe you did loose your hearing when I last beaten you senseless... it aint yours anymore. Jet let me keep them." Said Raul as he started to glow slightly redish.

"To hell with that! You are still gonna pay!" Oscar shouted as he threw his hands up which started to glow blue. He would have attacked if Jet didnt stop him.

"Now now Capt... despite your past. Sonic and the others are our guests. Unless they're with Eggman and Black Doom."

"What!? You ran into Black Doom too!?" shouted Tails and Sonic at the same time.

"Yes we have. He's caused some of our friends to be killed. Some of Babylon is in ruin because of him." Said the Green hedgehog as she lowered Oscar's hands and turned to the Sonic Team.

Raul stopped glowing then stood down as well as the other Heroes came to their feet. Sonic then turned to Jet.

"Then you do know why Black Dooms after you?" asked Sonic as he spoke to the leader.

"Yeah...my dear ancestors. What about it?" asked Jet.

"He's going after everyone who stopped him in the past and the kids of them. Otherwise me and Shadow wouldn't be involved.

"Shadow? He Ok?" asked Capt as he turned to Sonic.

"Dunno. Last we remember was he was heading for Black Doom himself to get answers." Said Raul.

"... Yeah we are screwed..." Said Oscar as he shook his head.

"Why?" Asked Sonic and Raul.

"Cuz Black Doom doesn't want to kill him. He's gonna try to bring him to his side." Said the Green hedgehog as she sighed.

"What do you mean?" Said Sonic as he turned.

"Shadow is just a pawn like Egg-for-brains is. He's not after just the Kingdom. He wants Shadow since he was first to be corroded by the Black Mist. He's eventally is planning to take the planet for himself." Said the hedgehog as she turned to Sonic.

"...So Shadow's walking to a trap!?" asked Amy as she gasped.

"Yeah. Sonic's bro is gonna turn to the dark side if he gets to Doom's side. Now our turn for questions. Why the hell are you here?"

"Answers and to get help." Said Sonic as he turned to Jet.

"...Why should we?"

"Do we have to remind you?"

"What's in it for us..?" asked Jet smug now.

"...What do you want then?" asked Raul.

"What I want hmm...give a few to think." said the Hawk. Sonic lost his patience with the bird and grabbed him, shocking both sides.

"LISTEN YOU JIVE TURKEY MOTHER FUCKER! I HAVE HAD IT WITH YOU AND YOUR LETS MAKE A DEAL SHIT MY BROTHER IS OUT THERE POSSIBLY DEAD OR ALMOST CORRUPTED! YOU EITHER HELP ME SAVE SHAD OR GOD AS MY WITNESS I WILL TURN YOU TO A COOKED BIRD AND LET THE BLACK ARMS EAT YOU!" shouted Sonic as his fur turned black and his eyes white while turning angry.

Every one backed away even the two brothers who were at each others throats.

"Ahhh...what are you crazy!?" asked Jet scared shitless. That only earned him a couple of shakes from Dark Sonic as he growled.

"Ok. We just want a Rematch!" shouted Oscar as he tried to stop Sonic from strangling the dizzy bird. Sonic then smirked and turn back to normal.

"Now was that so bad?" asked Sonic as he had the cocky grin back on. Everyone fell down anime style.

Acorn Kingdom- Knothole

Shadow kept sneaking around the castle area where he saw a group of Black Arms walking in formation. Heading to the dungeon when he decided to get a disguise. He saw a heavy Armored soldier walking when he knocked him out and took his uniform.

"Hmm comfy." he said as he put on the greaves and then looked at the guard now knocked out in the suit of armor.

"Hope you like your attire." said Shadow as he got in step with a group that was near the end of the chamber. He marched into a grand hall where Black Doom was over looking the entire army as they halt and greeted their leader with Shadow doing perfect mimicry of them. Doom then pointed at Shadow.

"You...I have an Assignment for you." Shadow was starting to sweat bullets in his suit as Black Doom's Chaos Control brought him to his side. Fearful that he was compromised, the Black Hedgehogs hand was on his handgun slightly but showed he was at attention. Black Doom then handed him a set of keys.

"Clean the Basement and make sure its ready for the operation...I do not expect failure..." Growled Doom as he looked at Shadow.

Giving a passable salute to Doom, Shadow made his way down the corridor to a surprising sight. A Black Arms soldier was knocked out and stripped naked. Shadow grabbed his sword when he saw this and walked super silently and slowly towards where he was sent to go. It was around the corner he felt himself being pushed to the wall and something against his back.

"Shit..." he whispered.

"Don't move..." Said the figure who had him pinned. The figure then stripped him of his sword and handgun then ushered him forward.

"...Takes balls for one to strip me..." growled the Ultimate Lifeform as his hand glowed with Chaos energy. He then slide to the side then force the figure to the wall and slammed his fist in the person's chest then used his energy to glow up a spear.

"Shad! Wait its me!" said the figure. It was feminine and panicked.

"What the?" Said Shadow as he took the helm off the woman. It was Sally Acorn who was scared and shocked.

"Sal what the..." was all he got out when she kneed him in the balls.

"You Idiot what the hell were you thinking!?" She said silently as she kept her voice down.

"I had to get answers!" he said loud as she slapped him to shut up.

"Quiet! You want the entire castle on us!?" said Sally as she kissed his cheek.

"Oh shit yeah..."

"Yeah you two are defiantly brothers..." said the Princess as she giggled lightly.

"...don't say that...not til I get proof." said Shadow turning a dark look at her causing her to shut up and nodding.

"Well we go where now?" asked Sally as she gave him his gear and she putted her on.

"We go to where these keys lead us. You know this castle don't you?" asked Shadow as he looked at her. Taking them she nodded.

"Just keep up with me and we'll find out what we can." she said smirking. Shadow shook his head as he and Sally headed into a hallway that led to the room. Little they know Black Doom himself was following and watched with his Eye. And so far it only watched...

Shadow: what the flying Flip?

Me: ask me about why I'm taking too long for updates and I will shatter your head open.

Sonic: that possible?

Me: Wanna try it out?

Sonic: ...no?

Me: good. Now then hope you enjoy it. I'm working and such and it's a bitch to work then. But I'm decidng it!

Silver: what?

Me: It's a suprise buddeh

Sonic: oooh cool
