This is just a story that I thought up, and thought it was cute.

Hope you enjoy it!

Remus gazed into his fiancé's eyes. He could always lose himself in their luminous grey depths. He surveyed Sirius' face, from his beautiful eyes to his lush, warm mouth. Oh, how he loved that mouth.

He thought back to the countless hours they had spent alone by the lake at Hogwarts, totally lost in that sweet surrender. Those moments had seemed so quick, so fleeting, at the time. Looking back now, Remus knew he would always treasure them, despite the fact that he would soon say two words which would bind Sirius and him together. Not magically, but through civil union.

Civil unions were rare in the wizarding world. No-one knew why, it just didn't seem to happen much. This knowledge was what had made the impending union of Remus Lupin and Sirius Black the only thing talked about for months at the Ministry of Magic. Now the day had finally arrived, and Remus stood before his friend, his love, the meaning for his existence at the altar.

As the minister went on about love and commitment, He thought back to when they had first met.

Day one at Hogwarts. They had sat together at the Gryffindor table after sorting. Remus had been surprised, along with most pupils from magical families, when Sirius had been placed in Gryffindor. His last name had made nearly everyone sure that he would be in Slytherin, as all his family had been. The two of them had started to talk, and had encountered no awkward silences. Quite the opposite in fact. Sirius was nearly choking on his food as he tried to talk as quickly as possible, eager to get to know his new acquaintance and revelling in the freedom to say how much he hated the dark arts.

Remus smiled at this memory.

He then remembered the moment he had realised the way he really felt for his friend. This was in their fifth year. It had snowed all through one chilly Friday night in early December. They woke on Saturday morning with the prospect of a day spent playing in the snow, with a delicious beef stew for dinner.

The four marauders had gone outside after breakfast to a large flat area behind the greenhouses. There they staged an attack on Severus Snape, snowballs pelting him furiously. After that, James decided to try and make the world's largest snow man. Peter wanted to help him with it, but Remus and Sirius opted to sit on a bench which Remus conjured up, huddling to keep warm.

As he watched his friend from the corner of his eye, he seemed strangely beautiful, with snowflakes in his hair and that gorgeous grin sitting comfortably on his face. Remus had shaken his head in wonder. Who would have thought he would fall in love with one of his best friends.

"I do." Said Sirius, breaking into Remus' reflective reverie. The minister turned to Remus and asked him the same question. He smiled.

"I do."

"You may kiss the... groom?" The minister smiled.

Sirius seized Remus by the shoulders, dipping him almost to the ground, kissing him with such love, such passion, that there was barely a dry eye in the audience as everyone clapped as loudly as their hands could take.

Remus closed his eyes, letting the tears of happiness run freely down his face, unexpectedly mingling with those of Sirius. He had never before seen his lover cry before. It only made his tears come faster.

He smiled. This truly was heaven.
