Chris was five years old when he was specifically targeted for a darklighter attack. Wyatt had jumped in front of him and taken the shot. After being healed, Chris had asked him why he saved him, even though he could have died. Wyatt had looked at him and smiled.

"Because I'm a Halliwell, and Halliwells protect their family."

Chris was nine when Wyatt stayed up all night to help him with his homework. When Chris asked why he had done it, even though Wyatt himself had a test the next day, Wyatt had just shrugged.

"Because I'm a Halliwell, and Halliwells help their family."

When Chris was fourteen, his mom died and Wyatt sat up with him all night, telling him it wasn't his fault. When Chris asked why he did it, even though he had his own sadness to deal with; Wyatt had smiled weakly and said.

"Because I'm a Halliwell and Halliwells always stick together through the good times and the bad."

When Chris turned sixteen, Wyatt had crashed his party and killed his family. When Chris begged him to tell him why he had done it, Wyatt had sneered.

"Because I'm a Halliwell, and Halliwells have power."

Chris started the Resistance, to save lives and take care of people on the streets. He trained them in using their powers and treated each and every one of them like his own family. When a little girl had asked him why he did it, Chris picked her up and sat her on his lap.

"Because I'm a Halliwell, and Halliwells protect the innocent."

Chris began to search for a way to change Wyatt back when he turned nineteen. He had encountered Wyatt while sneaking through the manor for books and Wyatt had questioned why he was still trying to save him, even thought he loved what he had. Chris had simply smiled at him.

"Because I'm a Halliwell and Halliwells never give up."

An almost twenty-three year old Chris lay gasping on a bed. The knife wound was severe. Leo was crying beside him, he took a breath and let the tears stream down his face. He asked why Chris had done it, gone to the past and risked his life. Chris smiled shakily.

"Because I'm a Halliwell and Halliwells never give up on family."
