A/N: Something that was owed ages ago! There is no valid excuse for my disappearance. I just fell victim to writer's block and got caught up with other things. No promises on consistency but hopefully this will become the first of many actual stable updates. Thank you and I'M SO SORRY to all those that waited for this.
Bento
"So?" Fuji asked watching Ryoma's twitching face at the bento he had personally made Ryoma after seeing that Ryoma had no qualms about accepting a bento from any creature that gives him food whether he liked the person or not.
Ryoma frowned. "What did you put in this?"
"Everything I would like to eat and what you would as well." Fuji admitted with a chuckle. "Like it that much huh?"
Ryoma forced himself to swallow it all with his Ponta then stood up to leave without finishing it.
"Why do you look so pained?" Fuji asked innocently. "Was there too much spice?"
"When I eat the food you make, I feel unbearable pain." Ryoma said bluntly as his face darkened and he once more took a long gulp of Ponta.
"As in you need the bathroom or a pain I should take care of?" Fuji asked noticeably dropping his gaze down Ryoma's body.
"More like I want to cry for all the ingredients that died for your bento." Ryoma clarified.
Speechless
Fuji frowned as Ryoma stood stubbornly silent in front of him. He felt his heart tearing apart as he stood there staring at the dark green hair that graced his look instead of the nicely chiselled face he expected.
Was it because he put in too much work? Was it because he had led this man the entire way that he didn't love him?
He just wanted one word of acknowledgement that this man in front of him loved him in some way or form but even after all this time, there was not a single word he could say to him and Fuji had to admit; he was running out of words to say.
Love was dissipating and flowing away from them now.
Fuji turned to leave in frustration but just at the last moment before he broke a hand clung onto his jacket.
"Stay…" a soft, bratty voice said.
Fuji didn't turn around but a smile made its way across his face slowly. It seemed he had finally provoked a response and now he was the speechless one.
Imprint
Ryoma groaned aloud once more as Fuji pressed him down harshly once more. He tossed his head back as he felt himself sink into the leather under him. He barely felt the brush of Fuji's lips across his sweaty forehead as he felt Fuji finally withdraw from him.
His eyes opened only to see blue eyes intoxicated in desire staring back at him.
"You…" Ryoma started only to stop as he felt the head probe him once more.
"We haven't imprinted enough of ourselves here yet," Fuji said with a slow smile before he entered fully to the hilt, embedding them once more into the leather seats.
Still Mine
Fuji nodded in response to his brother's question but his eyes didn't stray from the man across the street who was closer than a tennis court away from him.
It had been a full year and Fuji wondered if that figure still remembered him and missed him because even though Fuji had been gone for so long, he still considered that man as his. Those cat-like golden eyes were his to stare at, that dark green hair was his to pet, and those broaden shoulder were definitely his to leave marks on.
"Ryoma is dating now you know," Yuuta said noting his brother's look across the street. "He was your kouhai right?"
"Even still," Fuji said with a soft smile as his eyes connected to those gold eyes finally after so long. "He's still mine."
Yuuta blinked in confusion. What did his brother mean?
Realization
Fuji smiled a little helplessly at his sister.
"Something is definitely off," Yumiko said realizing that she was able to read the pain in Syuusuke's smile. The usual Syuusuke was always mysterious even to his own family. So much that the smile that hung on his face never revealed a bit of what he was feeling… ever.
"I'll be okay," Fuji said softly before walking away. He didn't pause even when he heard his sister calling for him. He continued his walk in the dark, oblivious to his surroundings because he had come to a realization that there were tears coming down his face and his smile was nowhere on his face.
He had no one to blame but himself for that though. He had somewhat known the outcome in the beginning but he had lied to himself and fallen into the trap he knew he was going to fall into.
"I like you,"
Those words from his little prince that he wanted to hear so badly were said to him with hesitation and a red face. It was stuttered out quickly and abruptly that Fuji couldn't respond at all. He had still been taking in all the emotions he was feeling when the next lines dropped him from heaven to hell.
"Should I just say it like that to Tezuka-senpai?"
What was he expecting out of all this? What?
"That sounds fine,"
That was all he could say before the prince smiled politely and left with a thank you.
So what did he expect?
That fateful day that he had caught that soft smile on Ryoma's face was his downfall. He had fallen in love with a smile that he gave to another person… so what was it that he expected when he knowingly knew the feelings of his prince but continued to stay beside him with the false hope of just observing?
What did he think was going to happen?
Clearly, it had been disappointing since the beginning and pretending was just a cover for his desires so why were these tears exhausting him? Why did his heart continue to fool and not let it believe the truths in front of him?
Could it be that even through the most pain, the happiness of just being near him was worth it?
"Fuji-senpai…"
Fuji looked up suddenly and noted that Ryoma was standing in his path with the note he had left for Ryoma still in his hand.
He couldn't speak… he didn't know what to say since the one who read it hadn't addressed anything yet.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Ryoma asked.
A bitter smile crossed his face before Fuji spoke.
"I loved you on my own and I have no right to force you into love to satisfy myself. If I force you then it is not you loving me but me loving myself."
Feel
Fuji sighed as he went to lie down beside Ryoma. He scooted in until their arms were pressed against each other and his head connected with Ryoma's.
There was a sense of peace as Fuji closed his eyes and let the breeze push his hair around, content to rest beside Ryoma. This would be the last time in a long time that they would see each other and yet both had not addressed the distance they would be facing after this moment ended.
It was funny that there was so much to say and yet they chose to waste the moment by just feeling each other's presence and enjoying the silence between them. Perhaps it was that they both felt too much that they couldn't say so it was easier to not say anything at all.
"I know," Ryoma suddenly said moments later as his fingers found its way between Fuji's and he entwined them together tightly.
Fuji didn't reply. He merely smiled and turned his head, with his eyes still closed to press a kiss onto the boy's hair in understanding.
Moments With You
"Did you every think we are in a dangerous relationship?" Ryoma asked turning to look at Fuji from where he sat on their bed.
Fuji turned around after sliding his boxers on and crawled over the bed to drag Ryoma into his arms.
"Every day," Fuji admitted.
There wasn't a single fight that they ever had that didn't dig deep and scar them with pain. There wasn't a single misunderstanding that they didn't hurt and end up in bed to dull with pleasure.
"Then why are we still doing this?" Ryoma asked snaking his arms around Fuji's neck.
"Because I love you," Fuji said simply. "Why are you still here?"
Ryoma tightened his hold around Fuji's neck and spoke. "Because each time I fell, you came and embraced me with love and warmth. For every tear and sadness that came upon us, you hold and keep it all for me."
Fuji smiled and pressed a nonchalant kiss on Ryoma forehead before loosening his grip. He pressed his forehead against Ryoma and stared into Ryoma's eyes.
"I'm falling Ryoma," Fuji said softly. "I'm falling as I try to hold you up but you just fall deeper."
"So what do I do?" Ryoma asked staring back at Fuji with non-blinking eyes.
"I will continue to search for you even if you're lost," Fuji promised.
Ryoma smirked as he pressed a kiss to Fuji's lips.
"Baka…"
Little did Fuji know that though Fuji was his light, Fuji still constantly was ridden by guilt at having turned him into a gay depriving his parents of a grandchild.
When Fuji didn't think he noticed, he clearly saw the doubts on Fuji's face and though he tried to save Fuji from the pain, he was still blinded by the faults and couldn't see Ryoma who held him.
Perhaps it was because they both were blind to each other that they both were on their knees and yet continued to hold one another up. Perhaps it was that they both wanted to push each other up from the darkness they were sinking in that they both failed to realize that even in that sinking water, they had each other's hand and never was there a time when they had reached out for the other and lost them.
My World
Ryoma sighed as he looked at the garden Fuji had insisted they needed. It was starting to sprout and was well weeded… much more organized than Fuji's office which was filled with papers everywhere and photos lined the walls with not one spot missing.
Why was it that without any warning or trace of apprehension that they had run across one another years after not seeing each other for so long?
It was the most random moment as they passed one another on the streets of Tokyo and recognized each other vaguely. It was the most unexpected thing that they would both pause as if feeling each other and by chance or destiny called out to one another and took a leap of faith in a world so big to love each other.
Such a pleasant surprise that their lives took and for no reason at all, one look was all it took for them to take a step together and the years flashed by in wonderful moments etched in memories.
So the accumulation of that one moment was all it took to etch Syuusuke into his heart and mind.
But it was also just a split moment that just like that, without him knowing, Syuusuke quietly disappeared from his world.
Without a single goodbye nor a warning, he left. Leaving behind nothing but bittersweet memories.
Then again, how was someone who threw you to one side while taking on a whole car for you suppose to say anything as he's ripped from your side in a moment's breath?
How was that last breath and smile supposed to convey anything?
A/N: A little bit of everything for all of you.
