AUTHOR'S NOTE: This poem is based off of Malon's experience at the ranch for seven years. I actually wrote this one a while back. R and R. And suprise, suprise:NO FLAMING PLEASE! Thanks!

Soon to Come is the Dawn

This house I used to live in

Doesn't feel so much like home

I had a father, my only family

But, now I sit here alone

The horses are the only thing

That keeps me at this ranch

My heart wants to leave so badly

But common sense tells me I can't

What I once sung in the sunshine

I can only sing in the dark

How they bring such memories

All encrested in my heart.

I see a vistor enter the ranch

On horseback he's pretty fast

Green garb, blonde hair, blue eyes

I've seen him in a time long past.

Now, I sit here watching

This handsome stranger race

He's so familar I think I know him

Where have I seen his face?

I can hear the gate shut

That man begins to fret

Then, he gives a mischievious smile

He's got the strangest idea yet

He's leads Epona to the fence

Faster and faster she starts to run

In a second they're over the fence

For a moment, higher than the sun

A grin returns unto my face

My grim days are gone

I think the dusk is ending

And soon to come is the dawn.

LA FIN
