Harry Potter x Jurassic Part (2nd Story)
Synopsis: Harry Potter cannon up to the Battle of Hogwarts, but divergence there after which it becomes AU. For Jurassic Park the timeline will be tinkered with, and instead of the timeline being set for 1993, it will be set for a go live date of 2000 to welcome in the New Millennium, and the Black Family will own the Muertes Archipelago are as well as Isla Nublar all of which had been leased by the Black Family, to the Costa Rican Government, by Sirius' Grandfather, the lease of which was set to expire in 2003. Costa Rica then sub-leased to iNGen, which is still little more than a Genetics Research and Mapping Company; it has yet to branch out to become an umbrella corporation on the cutting edge of computer design, private security, or the other areas that classic iNGen is well known for, or those it isn't.
Chapter Setting: Jurassic Park, 1999/2000

Chapter 03: Time Heals All Wounds
The August War, as it came to be known in the Kingdom, had come and gone with the world mostly looking on in curiosity to the micro-nation which dared stand up to the Juggernaut of the USA….and won.
There were vocal minorities in the US calling for the full scale invasion and occupation of the islands which had dared murder American Sailors, and cost them dozens, possibly hundreds, of billions in lost naval equipment, but with the chaos raging within MACUSA, and with the US Naval Command facing grueling Senate investigations, heads were rolling for the fiasco from the Pentagon to more frequent whispers of a Presidential Resignation prior to impeachment.
Once he'd recovered enough, and to expedite Naval Defenses, Harry had tasked his wizards with raising and repairing the downed American Crafts…something Hermione was overseeing as Defense Minister and a coupe in Naval and Areal technology.
Massive steel tubes Harry had enchanted with runic arrays, and Hermione had designed, interconnected to make a floating, flying, scaffold containing dozens of thick magically re-enforced steel cable mechanisms, with magically reinforced and powered magnets, spanning approximately 25 square kilometers, was carefully moved into position over the wreck of the aircraft carrier which sat on the sea floor 85 miles off the coast of Isla Nublar.
Deep Sea Salvage, as the company set up by the Government was called, located the wreck, and the magicals and muggles involved were rushing back and forth along the walkways of the giant magical construct.
The engineering marvel used for salvage, was an intimidating, and almost alien looking 25 Sq. Km. Floating Recovery Platform (FRP) composed of enchanted steel tubing, transparent metal 'glass', and various motors or related components, landing platforms, and storage sheds for crews.
POSITION ALPHA, a voice called across the radio as Jerry Sanders, a muggle cousin and recent immigrant to the Kingdom ran through his checks and ensured that the platform he operated, which would begin lowering nearly 2 km worth of cables to the sea floor.
After throwing several switches, levers, and disengaging safeties, the green light above Jerry's terminal shifted from red (locked) to yellow, and began rotating.
A few minutes later, another voice called across the radio.
DROP CABLES!
Jerry threw the lever locking his cable and kicked into overdrive the electric motors which began rapidly lowering the cable.
The massive machine hung steadily 50 meters above the water, which rested placidly and serenely below.
From the structure not less than 50 of the giant cables descended and began homing in on the large object below.
For several minutes Jerry just watched the depth counter on his 'rope.'
100 Meters.
125 Meters.
200 Meters.
…
550 Meters.
…
700 Meters.
…
1,000 Meters.
…
1,500 Meters.
Suddenly the color of the cable changed from normal steel to yellow, indicating that they'd reached the half ay mark of the (3 KM) cable roll.
Finally, the cable impacted with something and the magnet engaged at just under 2 km.
Quickly stopping the motor into neutral, and flicking the levers needed to re-set the safety systems and set it to tow, Jerry Radio'd in he was locked on the asset.
"Station 15, Cable Locked and awaiting orders," he called stepping into the protective booth that contained his coms equipment, monitors, and other equipment.
Copy Station 15; Lock Position Forward and preset motors to one quarter power stopping at 50 meters from surface. Await Further Orders before activating.
"Roger-Roger. Station 15 Out," Jerry said resting his mic back in its cradle and making his way once more to pre-set the wench and motor as ordered.
Near 30 minutes after Jerry had completed his tasks, the order came that all stations were to activate their wenches, and slowly, but steadily, the yellow cable began to wind up.
There was no whine, there was no groaning.
There was just the taught singing of cable as the machines winding it up rose once more from the depths, thankfully there was no seaweed attached.
All Stations Increase to One-Third Power; Repeat All Stations, One Third Power.
Leaving his air-conditioned booth once more, and enjoying the breeze, Jerry walked the short distance of the catwalk to adjust the controls of the motor to one-third power.
The motor could be heard for the first time, very briefly, but then quieted.
The platform, a marvel of magical engineering Jerry couldn't begin to fathom, neither sank lower nor raised higher above the stable surface below, though a massive shadow could be seen darkening the color of the crystal blue and tropical waters.
It was only a few minutes later that Jerry saw the counter nearing 55 meters, and he ensured the motor didn't overheat as it slowed and eventually locked in place at 50 meters of cable deployed.
The outline of a massive structure was beneath the waves and Jerry knew that they'd hooked their intended target.
All Stations Lock Cables. All Stations Lock Cables. Prepare for vertical shift.
All Stations check in prior vertical shift.
All Stations Secure booths prior to vertical shifts.
Jerry quickly secured the motor and external work stations, and made his way back into his booth, buckled himself in, and after performing the ordered tasks and safety checks, radioed in a final time.
It was only a few minutes later, and it amazed Jerry the same as it had the first time they'd conducted a salvage, that an alarm sounded in warning, all the yellow lights changed to red, and the entire platform began slowly to rise vertically.
First 10 feet, then 20.
It wasn't long before they'd changed position by over 200 feet, and looking below through the clear glass of his booth he clearly saw that they'd hooked the massive Nimitz Class Carrier on the Port Side as she'd sank sideways and settled on her starboard.
The massive carrier hung over 100 feet above the waterline, as millions….maybe billions, of gallons of seawater flushed from the craft taking creatures and debris back down with it.
Once the water draining had significantly slowed, chatter over the radio changed.
Repair Flight Deploy; All Stations Hold. Repair Flights Deploy.
From his position, Jerry tracked th flight of several witches and wizards, on brooms, as they made their way from one of the central spaces of the platform and flew under the massive hanging craft.
Repair Flight assessing the external damage.
Hold for further instructions.
About thirty minutes later Jerry, having grown bored monitoring nothing on his gauges, settled in to read the latest issue of National Quarterly, a periodical of the Kingdom which contained a lovely article he wanted to finish regarding recent advancements toward the curing of Diabetes by research scientists, and their magical partners, at the Huang Research Center.
Engaging Internal Repairs Now, the repair team eventually radioed in catching Jerry's attention.
We are now deploying Runic Arrays for Nuclear Core Containment, and will finalize emergency structural reparo's before closing the known breaches of the hull.
Copy that Repair Team. All stations continue to hold.
About an hour later Jerry once more saw the broom riders exit the underside of the carrier.
Hull repairs complete.
Structural integrity assumed to be within tolerances for sea travel.
Copy that Repair Team. Return to dock.
Stations 50 – 40,39-30, 29, 28, and 27, prepare to detach in accordance with zone.
All stations prepare for vertical decent.
Once the craft is in the water, all zones, all stations, are to detach on command.
All Stations report ready, and prepare for magnetic release.
Jerry stowed his magazine, and swiftly walked once more from his cab to the catwalk, and looked over the side as he set his wenches to transfer magnetic control to his booth.
Directly below hung the burned out con tower of the mighty aircraft carrier.
He saw the scorched, twisted, and charred metal of the deck, the chunks of asphalt, and dozens of planes and aircraft stored within.
He swiftly finished his task, and made his way once more to his booth, and then locked the door in accordance with protocol as they'd done several times before as they raised many of the downed American Destroyers.
"Station 15, primed and ready; controls have been transferred to the safety booth. Over." He reported to the supervisors.
Copy that Station 15.
Hold.
Jerry continued to hold and suddenly a rumble sounded and the entire platform shook.
They began descending quickly, until at the appropriate height above the sea to ensure that once they released the vessel would end right side up.
All zones transfer automated control to the bridge.
Jerry did so, and then buckled quickly as events were escalating past the point of no return.
Shortly thereafter, alarms began blaring and Jerry began actively monitoring the gauges and control readouts in front of him.
He looked in the distance toward zone 05, which held rows 50-40, and zone 04, which held rows 39-29.
Suddenly the entire platform shuttered and he saw that zone 05 had released, then zone four.
The massive aircraft carrier swung through the air and with a shutter touched the water.
Without warning zone three released, then two, and finally zone one.
The platform rapidly began to rise as the massive craft bobbed, up, down, and side to side.
Stand by all stations.
Several minutes passed, and then the repair wizards broke off once more, flew down to the craft, and cast a few lights Jerry would never understand.
Platform realign in progress. All Stations maintain control transfer to the bridge.
Lazily, while the broom crews landed on the deck of the carrier, the platform floated over the surface of the carrier
About 15 minutes later the all clear sign would be called, the tugs from Isla Muerta would hook up to the carrier, and the escort craft sent by the Royal Navy would all begin the slow and careful voyage to dry dock and the refit of this enemy craft for inclusion in the Royal Navy.

Neville Longbottom, 1st Duke of Longbottom and Earl of Longbottom County which dominated much of Isla Tacano and the futuristic city which dominated the majority of the island, stood hunched over a sleek and beautiful table inside the study of his country estate away from the soring towers and gleaming glass of the city straight out of Jaque Fresco's deepest imaginations.
"Newest figures and drawings are in Sir," a man in Soviet Surplus Dress Blues called laying a folio in front of the First Lord of the Admiralty.
The Kingdom had purchased, in bulk, more than just several billion dollars worth of decommissioned Russian Naval Craft, but had also (temporarily) adopted the Naval Regalia and dress which the USSR was shedding faster than tourists dropping fur coats in Alabama in June.
Neville, as First Lord of the Admiralty carried the Ex-Officio Rank of a 4 Star Admiral, and his dress reflected such.
The formal blues hung in a closet he rarely donned outside of Parliamentary Session, and he much preferred the cooler and more comfortable white he was wearing.
Dozens of naval architects, engineers, geologists, magical and muggle professionals, were crammed into his office and you could cut the pipe, cigar, and cigarette smoke with a knife.
"Thank you Derrick," Neville said to the older man and began leafing through the folio.
***PROJECT ATLANTIS***
He scanned the title, and the new outlines and saw that the margins had been pushed by greater than 150% in the project.
Taking a cigar given to him by one of the Cuban Emissaries at their Mission dedication prior to it opening as an embassy, Neville looked on impressed.
"So it's a go then? Harry's improved these plans," he asked to the room.
There were nods which abounded.
"How long from the time the wardstones are laid, to the time the first eruptions begin," he asked of the representative from the Mage Corps of Engineering.
The young woman, wearing her army greens (more soviet surplus which had been re-sewn and stitched with Kingdom patches/insignia) rose to the white board which had been designed to show Isla Nublar, the five deaths, and the coastline of Costa Rica as well as large swaths of the Pacific Ocean.
"Thank you Lord Admiral," the woman began as the room quieted and overhead slides outlining the proposal began to spring up on the blank space of the board.
"The new dimensions of the proposed landmass to be raised will give us a sub-continental landmass of 2 times the relative size of Brazil," she began.
"The final designs on the shape of the island, as approved here," she said tracing the dots on the map with a red marker and showing a vaguely crescent shaped landmass to be west of the five deaths, giving us just north of 7 million square miles of habitable space one the seismic activity is completed and the islands are deemed habitable."
Project Atlantis was the culmination of Hermione's efforts to ensure the danger posed to the island nation by "bullies" was somewhat abated by allowing them a larger homeland, and more abundantly available natural researches to fuel the defense, and domestic, industries which the existing islands had already proved not only profitable but also highly commercial.
Harry, Hermione, and their design teams had spent years, relatively, in his trunk manor refining the process and technologies needed to move forward with this project. Neville had spent one round with them planning the means to magically terraforming the island, and it was during that time, post the August War, he'd been drafted to the Navy, and put through the training and rigors of others in order to serve as First Lord of the Admiralty.
"We will be dropping 5, 3 ton each, marble blocks with the rune arrays approved which will outline the coastline per square mile Lord Admiral. We will then need to drop the millions of smaller stones, roughly the size of a regulation football each, to be crafted within the general interior of the subcontinent to allow for the most stable volcanic activity we can and control the geography in compliance with the projections."
Neville blinked and was highly impressed.
He began leafing through the detailed blueprints of the folio and puffing away at his cigar.
"Once the activation stones are dropped here, here, and here," she said pointing to three approximate sites in the middle of the island, "a cascade reaction will occur until the magic is expended, we project three weeks later, which should allow for the intent imbued magics to create our new homeland."
"Impressive," he said to the general agreement of the other brass present.
"Now let's get down to the Navy's involvement in this my dear," he said flicking his ash in the tray before him.
"What does Harry need me, and the few ships we have, to do? I've still got the teams building new Hammonds 24/7, and the salvage of the American Ships are still underway. It will be months, if not years, before they and their included craft are ready to set sale again because we need them to be stripped down and their systems copied."
"I believe His Majesty is requesting we refit the trawlers to help deliver these stones to help cover this activity, which will require the Hammond, the Wu, and at least the Arnold to begin ramping up patrols in the Southwestern Pacific," a Rear Admiral spoke up.
"It will also help speed things up considerably the more vessels we have involved in this," the young woman at the projector continued.
"I see," Neville said conjuring a glass of water wandlessly and began taking a sip.
With flick of his hand toward the window vents in the office, they opened and fresh air began flowing into the smoke filled room.
"How long until all of these stones are ready for dropping Colonel," he asked of the young woman.
"At least two years unless His Majesty successfully recruits additional masters on his level; otherwise he's getting through about 10 square miles worth of border blocks per day. Prime Minister Granger has authorized Umbrella to set up a rune based robotics lab to see how robotically carved runes react to activation. If the test proves successful, a scaled lab will be set up to give some relief to his majesty, and the filler stones will be carved exclusively by Umbrella."
'What about the Mage Engineers? Surely there are a few magicals that can lend a hand to carving runes to help His Majesty?"
"There have been volunteers aplenty Lord Admiral, and the PM attempted to force HM to accept our assistance, but we were specifically ordered to concentrate on reinforcing the intent wards of the islands, repairing the park, and assisting with the fast tracking of the reclamation of the American Ships Sir," the young Colonel finished.
"I see," Neville said blowing a cloud of smoke.
The meeting continued for sometime outlining the future and vital interests of the Kingdom and Project Atlantis.

December 15, 1999
Isla Nublar had been a hive of activity the last several months, and over the last five days the Airport had become one of the busiest in Central America.
Envoys from all Latin American Countries, South American Nations, and a great deal of the countries of the UN and ICW had converged on the island, with their various security retinue to the Lodges, Hotels, and resorts of the island had tasked the Operation Centers abilities to coordinate, and the Home Ministry's abilities to facilitate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that the accommodations available were issued in such fashion as not to offend their allies.
Their closest allies, their Latin American brethren, and closest South American Allies joined Harry in prominent suites and locations at the Bohemian Palace and village, while thousands of others found accommodations on Isla Nublar.
These diplomats were to be given an exclusive two day pass, responsible only for their liquor, food, and souvenirs, and today was the day of the Big Reveal.
While the entirety of the staff, and their families which had accustomed them, could not fit in the grand conference hall of the Bohemian Hotel, named the Grand Hotel Nublar, the various Prime Ministers, Presidents, Ambassadors, or Heads of State/Government which had come to this gathering could with hundreds of seats to spare.
"On behalf of His Majesty, His Government, and the peoples of the Kingdom of West Brandhurst, on the behalf of the friendship your being here represents, and in the hopes of a long and prosperous relationship as neighbors: Welcome!" Hermione began as the cameras of the Kingdom's Media Services, and foreign Press Corps who would be joining them today nearly blinded her in flashes.
"This Kingdom is dedicated to the rule of law, to justice, and most of all to seeking to preserve the common good," she began reading her prepared remarks.
"It's no secret that medical research, bio-engineering, green tech, renewable energy, as well as ecological and biological conservation fuel the engines of our economy," she began slowly.
"What has been secret, highly so, is that prior to the foundation of this Kingdom, prior to the ascension of this nation into the community of nations, there existed a group of men with an extraordinary intellect; they were led by a man who had a most extraordinary passion, and the indomitable spirit to achieve a dream shared by untold millions...a dream we all likely shared from childhood, and concerning the majesty of Earth's past."
Quiet muttering broke out among the guests at this as Hermione's speech was triggering their attention and piquing the interests of most present.
"Science has propelled man to the moon, has advanced medical knowledge to heights never seen before in human history, and allows us to see the very atoms which hold the universe together."
"Lord Benjamine Lockwood, Mr. Norman Atherton, both extra-ordinary men, led by Dr. John Hammond are individually extraordinary scientists and philanthropists; and together, they have completely shattered the field of Bio-Genetics from the pitiful view we held just prior to their meeting."
"The Hammond XB-05," she said as an image of the large and bulky proton gene sequencer the size of a small tool shed developed by Hammond, Lockwood, and Atherton was projected behind her, "allows for the sequencing of DNA Genomes, I'm reliably informed," she said with a chuckle and the crowd laughed with her, "which allows for the breakdown and sequencing of billions of lines of genetic code in mere weeks, where before the process took years will millions upon millions of dollars worth of specially designed and fabricated computer programs and hardware that could fill a warehouse."
There were dozens of flashes as the media began capturing pictures of the sequencer and the Prime Minister.
"In order to test the efficacy of this device, Dr. Hammond and his associates began utilizing it in the late 70s and early 80s to break down the genome and full DNA code of the California Condor, a species in North America which are on the international endangered species list."
"Under the auspices of International Genetics Technologies Corporation, Inc. these pioneers took this technology, and others, and successfully developed methods and means to clone genetically perfect examples of the target species."
The slide behind Hermione changed to show Dr. Hammond, Lockwood, and Atherton in their lab and the prototype Hammond Incubation Carrousel, then it began showing the birth, growth, and rearing of at least a dozen California Condors.
Excited exclamations were made at the pronouncement of not only DNA research, but many began speaking about cloning and sending confused looks to their neighbors.
"In the next years, the question was asked by these pioneering and brave men….can we sequence the DNA of non-living animals," she continued as aids from the stage came forward and, withdrew the sheet from a large cage which had been on stage with her.
Immediately the sounds of a bird honking met the audience.
She'd revealed a Dodo bird...the various members of the press let out a cacophony of sound as pictures were snapped, and reporters spoke feverishly over one another as world leaders looked on in wonder.
"The Dodo Bird was eradicated with European exploration, and sadly we lost a very colorful species which makes for a beautiful yard bird quite adept at managing the population of pest species as nearly two decades of their being used at the private estate of Lord Lockwood has demonstrated; they're as effective as Guinea Fowl," she said as the reporters went wild and the Diplomats sat up in interest.
"A separate Press Briefing by iNGen concerning the history of the Company, their research efforts, and how they're being utilized in the Kingdom will follow this evening in the Visitor's Center of the Theme Park we are Announcing today."
Hermione took a moment to sip her water before collecting herself and carrying on...speaking to the world as she gazed into dozens of cameras.
"Having confirmed they could now read, and replicate, viable DNA from animals long dead, Dr. Hammond's eye was inevitably turned to a childhood obsession most experience at least once in every child's life," she said as the slide changed once more and showed the T-Rex skeleton that was erected in the Park Visitor's Center.
Excited chatter erupted between the press core and the diplomats.
"Today we are gathered to welcome our friends and allies, and announce to the world at large that within this Kingdom, after decades of careful scientific research, processes, and in large parts thanks to the sheer brilliance of Dr. Henry Wu and the brilliant minds he has gathered, we open and dedicate a unique theme park and nature preserve to the world."
"Welcome everyone, to Jurassic Park," she said as the lights dimmed and a five minute film began playing showing the park, its attractions, and dozens of clips of the animals and various species which were exhibited.
As the last strains of the theme music of the film ended and the house lights began to rise once more, a fury of questions erupted from the Foreign Press Corps before Hermione was able to establish calm once more and continue with her speech.
"Today my colleagues from across the globe and I will venture forth with members of the Press to explore the Park, its amenities, and present to the people of the world not just these incredible animals which once more roam the Earth upon our shores; but to showcase the advancements that can come with ethical devotion to furthering the sciences and bettering mankind."
A round of applause broke out and greeted her at this.
"These animals," she continued and pressed on as the applause quieted, "represent an investment my government has for the future, and to that effect we've invested these technologies and techniques in the B. D. Huang Memorial Hospital and Research Center hoping to find ways to safely clone human organs which will not be rejected by a patient, as we hope they will be cultivated and mapped using the patient's own DNA. We are investing in research to combat Cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome," she said and received a standing ovation from the entire crowd of thousands which lasted several moments.
Cheers, shouts of amazement, and excited discussions immediately broke out among the contingent in the Grand Bohemian Ballroom.
"With ethical regulation, passion, and moral devotion to the citizens of this country, guaranteeing healthcare as a right to all and investing in the future of our children in the hopes of eradicating all disease, the proceeds from this Park will fund not only the care of these animals but the investments in medical breakthroughs to come, for the benefit of all, worldwide!"
Once everyone had calmed from once more applauding her, she pressed on.
"We are going to have to disembark in sections. Everyone please remember to wear your ID Badges during the length of your stay at Jurassic Park, and ensure that you have them on you at all times when in the park."
"I'm going to turn this over to our Home Minister who's coordinating today and tomorrow's activities to explain the process of how all of our Diplomatic Ministers, and their aids or companions, will be disembarking the rail station in the village square to visit the park."
Hermione and her aides made their way down from the platform, to a hail of flash photography, and quickly made their way through the doors to the grand lobby of the hotel, and from there the roundabout out front that held the veritable fleet of trams ready to take groups, 30 at a time, to the local monorail depot in the Bavarian Village.
The Home Minister finished quickly, and began dismissing groups in a certain order with the first group joining Hermione and her retinue outside in the tram.
"Prime Minister," the President of the Russian Federation, the former foreign secretary of the USSR, called reaching out to Hermione and embracing her.
"Sasha!" she said with a warm tone as they kissed each other's cheek.
The Russian Federation, and the entire former Soviet Bloc, had proven to be the nascent kingdom's top trade partner the last two years.
"Hermione," Rico Calderón, President of Costa Rico, said in greeting.
"Rico, come here," she said with a smile.
After small talk, an aid informed her that there were only three more delegations, Germany, Argentina, and Brazil, which would be joining Hermione's small group and then they'd be off to the monorail.
The delegations soon joined them, with respective press in tow joining them in their own tram, and they were off to the monorail.
Soon they were passing over the outer walls of Asclepius, and then entering Sector 04 and docking at the main station connected to the visitor's center: a six "track" open air behemoth that would allow for the constant influx of trains to and from the Park.
The group were lead on their way, and through the Visitor's Center entrance hall, swiftly checked in, having their badges activated and registered to their use, and filled the orientation theatre to over-capacity with the press as the same Orientation given to the first official visitor's to the park which had visited in August.
Just under an hour later, they were exiting having completed their legal packets the same as everyone else, press included, and were being shepherded on a small tour through the visitor's center, up and through the iNGen Bio-Sequencing and Amber Extraction exhibit.
They were led out onto a sweeping balcony that connected to an upper station where attendants were waiting to ensure the orderly loading of guests, 50 or less at the time, per train.
The group took their seat in the large four car trains, missing a dining car, but with double the bathrooms of the Executive Trains, and quickly made their way into Section 05.
Another difference between this public train and the executive trains, there was a Safari Guide per train car to help keep tours orderly.
Good morning everyone and welcome to Jurassic Park Train 001, the voice of their lead Safari Guide began from the cockpit of the train, vs. a central podium.
My name is Geoffrey and I'm your Engineer and Chief Safari Guide on today's tour. If you have an emergency or need immediate medical assistance, please do not hesitate activate the emergency call button found near each entrance or exit in and between each train car.
There was excited muttering as the chief diplomats and their family took their seats in the first car, their aides and staff took on the second car, and the media took over the third and last cars.
Travel between train cars should be strictly limited while we are underway. Stewards will make their rounds to offer light refreshments which you may enjoy freely about the train.
To highlight the chief guide's words a steward exited a small alcove with a beverage cart laden with soft drinks, waters, and a small selection of liquors.
Our tour, and all trains today, will be traveling the same route, visiting Paddocks A – H in order, and allowing you to disembark in Paddock H to visit the aviary, before lunch at the Sky High Café built into the cliff face of the Pterodactyl Enclosure.
Settle back and enjoy the tour; Welcome to Jurassic Park, he finished as the theme played while the train approached the massive gates flanked by fire, and were greeted by Rexy's roar as the last strains of the string ensemble finished the park's song.

Harry sat sipping his tropical iced tea as John, Benjamin Lockwood, and Norman Atherton sat in an office room and watched the bank of tv's broadcasting the National Media Services' coverage of the announcement of the Park, CNN, the BBC, and several other international broadcasts.
"Congratulations Gentlemen," Harry began as the three toasted him with mimosas.
The office had hastily been converted into a green room to await the three, then Dr. Wu after lunch, as part of the media blitz strategy of the Prime Minister's Press Secretary's coverage strategy for the day.
"You only get the spotlight for a short time, and you have to fight to keep it," she'd advised.
She had been right.
"I still don't see why it is that we couldn't continue to maintain a presence in the United States," Lockwood said forlornly.
"Oh Ben give it up," John grumbled sitting his drink down on the table.
"Can't you just enjoy the moment instead of bringing up long settled matters?"
"It is getting rather droll Benjamin," Norman said placing his own drink down and lighting a cigarette.
"We're not exactly on speaking terms with the United States Benjamin; and last you informed me, they'd seized all your assets in California."
Ben angrily began shifting through the newspaper in front of him.
"So you tell me Ben, why should we attempt to operate in a country that is hostile to our interest, or allow their citizens access to our country," Harry asked with a hint of steel in his voice.
"Russia, Venezuela, Columbia, Iran….these are some of the buddies your government has cuddled up to!" he replied.
John focused on his glass and draining it, while Atherton looked on with bored disinterest.
"And we're not passing biological agents or nuclear secrets Benjamin! We're trading cotton, pistachios, coffee and the like at below market rates with an agreement to take referrals from their doctors for terminal patients in our Research Study's. We're not exactly propping up dictators here," he said slipping some anger into his voice.
Before the argument could escalate further, someone came in and informed everyone that it was time to head to their own press briefing.
The three scientists and friends, the founders of iNGen made their way and Harry followed behind intent on letting the three be introduced before he was announced.

Hermione and her group had just made the journey from Rexy's paddock to the Raptors, and had dropped down to being barely 3 meters off the ground, when the raptors and Baryonyx made their presence known rushing to and fro throughout the clearing the train ran through, as pigs, sheep, and goats were released to draw their attentions near the train.
"Look at them go!" Sasha said in awe as one of the raptors took a leap and captured prey by severing it's spinal column before eating it alive.
Several of the Diplomats had their own personal cameras out, and several of the kids in the group were eagerly flipping through their spiral bound JP Guide Books identifying different dinosaurs in each paddock, and reading up on them.
"Can we disembark and observe them," Rico asked as he took a seat beside Hermione having come from one of the viewing stations at the side of the train.
With a smile she nodded in the affirmative, before sending an aid to inform the engineer to detour to the nearest platform.
A few switching of track later, and after back tracking a quarter mile, the group were all disembarking into an observational platform similar to that which was utilized in the Dilophosaurus paddock: it was close to the ground, built into the foundation of a monorail support, and offered 360 degrees of views, and the emergency bunker was centrally located.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Geoffrey Speaking. We've come to the half-way point of our morning tour, and Train 001 has been cleared for a 30 minute tour of Paddock E, Platform 03. Please make your way in an orderly fashion off the train and follow your Safari Guides as they escort you to the viewing platform.
A chime will sound within the platform to warn you of our departure five minutes before I close our doors and we take off, he finished.
"Everyone if I may have your attention," the voice of a young safari guide called.
"Please follow me and we can begin making our way down into the observational area."
The group quickly followed and made their way down into the safety of the viewing area.
They were the first of several waves of diplomats and then the press which would enjoy their time here.
Rico and Sasha, along with their families, stayed fairly close to Hermione the entire time they were exploring the exhibit space, and Hermione made her way to one of the underground tunnels that would allow her, and her tagalongs, to just below ground level and the viewing domes research scientists tended to use to observe the Raptors.
The groups, their families and the aides which stuck close to them, observed in awe and fascination as the Raptors began assaulting the "glass" dome not even leaving scratches behind.
"Fascinating creatures," Reggie said walking up to Hermione as the others milled about the space, helped their children climb the step stools and ladders built into the observational domes, and generally muttered in fascination at what they saw.
A small flock of Compsognathus, Compies, rushed about the dome to the delight of several of the children who cooed over the cuteness of the little dinos.
The tour group continued, even as Hermione was led to the side by Reggie.
"There's talk of sanctions at the UN," Reggie began as they spoke in the alcove of the underground viewing tunnel.
"Does this really need to be brought up now Reggie," she asked in exasperation.
"It does Madam Prime Minister," he replied.
"Regardless of what's happened here today, and what they've said or done since August the US is pressing for Sections at the Security Council, but it will most likely come from the UK or France, seconded by Canada for sure; I can't help but notice there are no delegations from the US, Mexico, Canada, the UK, France, or several major European countries here today," he trailed off.
"Yeah, we're just peachy though Reggie," she sarcastically replied.
"His Majesty is monitoring the situation as is my administration. I can assure you we are aware of the situation and will respond accordingly," came her almost mechanical reply.
The roar of the Baryonyx distracted them momentarily, and the ground shook as it ran close by.
The gasps of the tourists distracted them long enough that Reggie changed the subject once Hermione's attention returned from the crowd to him.
"What did the ICW have to say about MACUSA's actions? Rumor has it that the Central American Ministry of Magics are up in arms and threatening to invade America for such a brazen and callouses attack intent on 'reestablishing Eurocentric Colonialism,'" he finished with air quotes.
"Heavy Sanctions and Interdictions; it was closed session…that's all I can say," she replied.
They continued to make small talk and the two eventually returned to mingling as their Guide announced it was nearing time to return to the train.
Shortly thereafter a chime sounded drawing everyone's attention and Geoffrey came over the platform's speakers and announced the trains departure in 10 minutes; that everyone should begin making their way back immediately.
They made it back without incident and were then on track, literally, to visit the Dilophosaurus Paddock.
Before long they were leaving Paddock F and steaming along toward Paddock H and the Aviary.
An hour later, after touring and seeing the majestic and mighty Pteradons and other avians within the Aviary, the group made their way to the Sky High Café and sampled the gourmet menu of French fare and delicacies.
"We are going to be deviating just slightly, with your approval," Hermione called to her group.
"We'd like to take the Jungle Cruise North from here if there are no objections," she called.
Several of the children exclaimed in excitement and began begging their parents if they could go, and several of the press began shouting questions to Hermione.
She ignored them and awaited a response from Rico, Sasha, and the others.
She got a thumbs up from Hans Grüber, the Chancellor of Germany.
"Privesti na!" Sasha said in exuberance toasting her with his tea glass.
"Seems like we're all in agreement then," Hermione said as the other heads of state/government nodded in agreement.
They made their way now through the aviary, through the mountainside, and exited at one of the docks for the Jungle River Cruise.
They quickly exited the tunnel like entrance to the mountain, the massive blast doors which could engage and lockdown the facility in the event of asset breach unnoticed by most, and made their way to the small fleet of Open Air, Cloth Canopy, Harbor Line Yachts that Harry had approved for use in the Jungle River Cruise.
Each one seated between 20-30 comfortably on the bench style seating, and had a shallow enough draft that they could cut through the, at certain points very shallow, river which circled Sector 05, and branched out through other sectors as well.
The afternoon humidity wasn't unbearable as the majority of the river was shaded by large overhanging trees, and the dignitaries and media enjoyed seeing the Brachiosaur, herbavors, and occasional medium or small sized carnivore posturing and growling at them from the river banks.
The deep channel of the river was too deep for them to post a danger, as one juvenile Xenotarsosaurus discovered, much to the shock and fear of several of the kids and adults in Hermione's boat and those following.
"Quite the adventure!" a dripping Rico who'd been splashed by the juvenile carnivore began.
"Da," Sasha good naturedly grumbled taking a handkerchief from an aid and wiping his own face as the media went wild.
"Again daddy! Again!" one of the kids sitting a few rows behind Hermione squealed in delight.
Thirty minutes into the cruise, the group continued to look on at the majestic creatures in relative peace with the dignitaries engaging in small talk and having a good time establishing lasting ties and developing connections.
"Prime Ministers," Sasha said taking out a flask with built in cup and pouring a healthy measure of vodka before toasting all of them.
"Cheers," Hermione and the others agreed before he passed the shot glass and flask around and everyone, even a reluctant Hermione, partook.
"I have been asked by Prime Minister Putin," he began reloading the shot glass, "to open a new dialogue with your government Prime Minister Granger," Sasha stated.
"Oh really Sasha," Rico perked up as Hans who sat in front of them leaned forward.
"Da."
"His government has made it a priority to establish greater relations with your country in the hopes that we can prevent the war crimes you've suffered by the Americans from being repeated," he trailed off.
Having been forced to take another shot, Hermione was doing her best to breath normally and not have the alcohol rush to her head.
"Sasha as always I'm honored that our Kingdom has garnered the interests and gaze of one of the great nations of the world which has shaped the 20th Century, and continues to lead into the 21st, but I don't quite follow what you're proposing," she replied.
He reached into his pocket, and withdrew an envelope which his passed to her.
"Something for you to consider over dinner Prime Minister," he said with a smile.
"Since we are on the subject," the German Chancellor spoke up, "I'd like to discuss the prospects of incentives for opening up a branch of your iNGen in Berlin," he said leaning forward eagerly.
"And we would like to talk about opening a Division of Umbrella Corp. in San José," Rico spoke up.
"Gentlemen, and Lady," she said as an afterthought to the Columbian Premier who was sitting near their group, "we can discuss this in the days and weeks ahead, but I can assure you that none of our domestic corporations will operate internationally, or engage in international commerce until the IP Treaties my government has submitted to the UN are adopted, and I have assurances that our National Industries will not be stolen away from us."
"Surely you understand Madam Prime Minister," Hans began, "that International trade is good! Participating in the Global Economy will only allow for the greater economic prosperity of your own peoples."
"I agree with you in principal Hans," she continued as the members of the media at the rear of the boat continued to obsessively focus on the banks of the river and the creatures which were coming to drink or cool off in the water.
"However, the technology which led to all you see here," she said indicating the animals and more, "will never leave these shores. The power of Genetics is equal to or greater than that of the atom," Hermione said seriously.
"Don't you trust your allies and trade partners," Sasha asked mildly irritated.
"Oh Sasha," she said adopting a sad expression and petting his hand in sorrow.
"Of course not!"
Hans lost it and began laughing as Rico and the others joined in at Sasha's expense.
"Well played Madam Prime Minister; you're not as naïve as you would seem," Sasha said with a smile and pouring a final drink before putting it away.
Hermione just smiled in response as the Northwestern Dock, Paddock A, came into view.
Alright folks we're coming into dock at Paddock A. You'll be taking the path to the left immediately off the dock, and going up the stairs to the Monorail Platform above.
Once the mooring lines are secured, please make your way in an orderly fashion to the center of the boat to disembark.
Thank you for visiting Jurassic Park! I hope you enjoyed the Jungle Cruise today. We look forward to seeing you again.
Everyone made their way to disembark and continued their discussions even up to the platform.
It was a day of many excited conversations, and wouldn't be the first time Hermione had to rebuff similar lines of enquiry regarding National Resources.

Harry was tired of being handled.
The day had been long as hell and he was ready to get to his suite, kick off his shoes, and relax.
"I swear to God if you tell me I've got another press conference or public event today Richie I'm going to obliviate everyone as soon as I walk through the door before I walk back out," Harry said taking a drink from the water bottle a security officer passed him.
"You don't Your Highness," Richie replied with a chuckle as they quickly made their way out of the Carnivore Carousel over the roars of several of the larger beasts being exhibited in the arena.
"The Prime Minister's Office has communicated that things have gone supremely smoothly, and the Park's website has crashed no less than 5 times today from hits across the globe; no less than 3 million unique hits from IP Addresses in the US," Richie said.
"I thought we'd blocked all US based IP addresses as part of our National Defense Strategy," Harry said pausing to look at Ritchie.
"I'll check into it Sire, but I'd imagine that that small a number came from VPNs which were traceable to the US," he replied.
Harry just sighed at the ever growing complexity of this endeavor, and made his way swiftly into his 'royal carriage;' stretched ATV which was decked out in the Royal Seal and flew his heraldry.
It was one of the few gas powered support craft, and vehicles, used on the island.
A fraction of the park's total occupancy, estimated at somewhere between 20,000 – 25,000 guests at peak, would put the rides, attractions, and animal exhibitions through their first paces as dozens of heads of state, and hundreds of international media details availed themselves of the park.
The next day, when online ticket sales for the Park began, and reservations for the Park Lodgings were accepted, the ticket sales were exhausted into 2005. Of the 5,500 rooms designed to house no more than 4 adults comfortably, not a single one was left available for reservation.
Ray saw an immediate need for additional hotel and resort space.
The hotels and Park Resorts were similarly booked into 2005, and Costa Rica would see their seaside accommodations booked similarly to most of those within ferry range of the island's various ports and docks.
With admissions prices of $95/day/person for the Park, the $10 Billion Dollar Park, which had a projected operational cost of $250 Million per year, had just received payments of near $11 Billion Dollars in prepaid, non-refundable, park tickets and room reservations alone.
This wasn't even including the average cost of $250/night per hotel room, and with 5,500 that were within this price point (2 double bed occupancy), grossing the park another $3 Billion. The Ultra Premium suites, designed to comfortably sleep anywhere between 6-10 comfortably, were going for as much as $2,500/night, and there were just over 1,500 of these suites.
InGen Stock would soar upon realizing an instant profit of near $15 Billion in a single day.
Inside the Operations Center, as Ray tracked live numbers the following day, not only would he be fighting a throbbing…headache…..at the sheer numbers and volume of funds flowing through the park, but also a hangover given the dozens of bottles of Champaign that were flowing among the staff, drinking a single glass from each division's celebrations at the end of the day.
"First Guest Projections are in Manuel," a recent graduate from Oxford began.
"And," Ray said continuing to build his mellow and puff on his pipe.
"Online Merchandise had to be shut down; We've generated nearly $575 Million in sales on pre-orders of Dino Threads alone. I've authorized an increase in the herds," he said passing several sheets over to Ray for his review.
"Got damn!" he exclaimed seeing the day's final numbers from the various diplomats and the conversion into galleons that the Gnomes which ran the Kingdom's Central Bank had transacted.
As night fell on the first day of foreign guests being welcomed into the park, testing the limits of the infrastructure of their extended home, the animals began to nest and settle in once more, unimpeded by the hundreds, thousands, of new people which had momentarily visited them.
