It was Valentine's Day at the Smash mansion, and everyone was reading their cards from a certain lover, r just having a kiss or two.

"Heh, Amy sure knows how to show her heart." Sonic said, with a chuckle.

Donkey Kong opened his and saw that it came from Candy Kong. "Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about!" DK shouted in victory.

Falco opened his card and saw that it came from Katt. "Heh, I figured Katt would give me a Valentine Card." Falco said to himself.

While most of the smashers were reading Valentine cards, Link was the only one there who didn't get a Valentine Card, from someone else. He sighed in sadness.

"I wish I got a different card from someone different." Link said to himself.

Usually, Zelda gives him a card almost every year. She approached him, and gave him a card.

"Thanks Zelda." Link said.

"No problem, Link." She smiled. "Why don't you come and join us for soem choclates?" Zelda suggested.

"No."

"What?"

"...Zelda, have you gotten a Valentine Card from someone else?"

Zelda was surprised. She didn't think that he would ask him that. "Uh, well...yes." She answered.

"From who?" Link wondered.

"I got one from Captain Falcon, Mario, Pit, Ike, and Sonic." Zelda replied. "Why do you ask?"

"It's just...never mind." Link shook his head as he marched back to his room.

Zelda saw him go and was sad about him. "I wish Link had a different Valentine card from someone else." She sighed.

"Is there anyone else who likes Link?"

Link was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He looked hopless.

"What's the point in Valentine's Day? It's just some pointless day where you get card's from people you love." Link said to himself. He rolled to the side and layed on his pillow. He then saw a little piece of red paper under his pillow. He sat back up and grabbed a mysterious card from his pillow and opened it.

It read:

Dear Link,

I heard that you only get a Valentine Card from Zelda every year. And it saddens me that you don't get a new card from someone else every year.

But you don't need to worry. I'm going to break that streak by giving you this card. I have a lot of love from you, besides Zelda.

Meet me in my room by the time you finish reading this card. I'll be waiting.

Your love,

Samus.

L:ink's eyes widened. He actually got a love card, FROM SAMUS. He followed its instructions and went to Samus's room.

When he got there, he opened the door. And there she was, Samus. Her blonde hair behind her back. She was sitting on her mattress. Staring at her secret lover.

"So you got my card?"

"Yeah." Link answered, as he walked over to her bed and sat down.

"I'm glad you came too see me. I didn't want to see you heartbroken on another Valentine's Day." Samus noted.

"Well...coming from you, it's a real surprise."

"That's nice." She smiled. "Link?"

"Yeah?"

"I do have feelings for you, and I don't love it when I see you depressed on a special day." She leaned closer to Link. "You are handsome."

"Uh..." Link blushed.

"No, don't say anything. Let me kiss you. I'll make it slow." She leaned closer to Link's lips. "I love you." She pressed her lips against Link. He didn't move as Samus explored his mouth. She was about to break it, but Link pulled his arms around her, and kissed her back. They explored each other for a moment, making this last forever. Link pulled away from her and whipsered.

"I love you, too." Link said.

"You want to go downstairs and have some choclate candy? It's my treat." She smiled.

"Yeah, let's do that." Link whispered, as he and Samus held hands and walked out of the room, with Link having a real smile to remember.
