Just some random one-two liners about Valentine's Day, using various characters. They all take place at different times or whatever. You all are smart enought to figure that out, I guess. I did some research before writing the one about L to see what V-day customs are in Japan... Kinda made me giggle when I wrote it. XD Anyway, enjoy!

Light gets a whole pile of cards and gifts from the girls at his school. They all have little heart stickers all over them and were handed to him by shaking hands. He says, "Thank you," because he knows it's the nice thing to do. He puts them in his bag. When he gets home, he throws every one of them away.

Mello devours all of his chocolate in less than an hour. "I'm out of chocolate..." he says to Matt, frowning. Matt, himself, has a fairly impressive amount of chocolate from assorted girls whose names he hasn't learned yet.

"Here," he says, pushing the chocolate over to Mello. "You can have mine."

Misa never had any interest in buying someone a Valentine's Day gift until she met Light. Deep in her heart, she's pretty sure that he won't appreciate it.

Near doesn't understand the appeal of Valentine's Day. He also doesn't understand the sinking-but-in-a-good-way feeling he gets in his gut when Matt hands him a small but nicely wrapped box of chocolates.

L is somewhat disgusted by the quality of the chocolates; he begins to throw them away, but then he sees that they are from Light. "Hmm..." he says quietly to himself. "Normally only women buy Valentine's Day gifts in Japan..." Though they make him feel a bit ill, he eats them instead of throwing them away.

Ryuk thinks that Valentine's Day seems like a rather pointless endeavor, but what does he know?
