Heated Glare by An Angel Falls

Kurogane and Fai were lost. They were in the middle of nowhere in a world they were not familiar with, and the others were nowhere to be found.

Mokona had transported them to this new world like every other time, but somehow instead of landing in the same place as everyone else, they were all alone in the middle of a forest that seemed to have no end. Kurogane wouldn't have minded it much if he had landed with Syoaran or the princess, but fate had doomed him to be lost with Fai. The magician who claimed to have been in the court for so long had no sense of morale. He was just crazy...and Kurogane was stuck with him.

"Kuro-pin, where are we?" Fai asked from behind him.

"How the hell should I know? I've never been here before." Kurogane snapped back. "And my name is Kurogane!!" Fai shrugged and looked around.

"You seem like you're comfortable in this territory so I was wondering if we had landed in your world." He stared at the back of the ninja, who had stopped at the statement.

"No. This isn't my Japan. I don't know where we are." He started walking again. Fai sighed. There went that hope. He knew that Kurogane would hold no interest in conversation so he tried to find another way of entertaining himself. He continued staring at Kurogane's back. He was carrying his sword, hilt in hand and sheath resting against his shoulder. This jacked his cape up a little and gave Fai quite a view from behind.

"Hyuu!" Fai whistled. Kurogane turned sharply and glared at the magician.

"What are you whistling about?" Fai smiled at him.

"Kuro-myuu is very built, ne?" Kurogane huffed and swung his sword at Fai.

"I've had about enought of you!" Fai dodged every single swing, but he didn't notice that Kurogane was leading him until he felt himself backed against a tree. His eyes widened as Kurogane placed his sword against his neck, still sheathed but dangerous. Neither of them said a word. Instead, their eyes were locked in a heated glare. No words were spoken, but the looks they were giving each other said everything. Kurogane let him go and started to walk again.

"Let's go." Fai let out a breath and followed him.
