Hi everyone! I am going to apologize for this chapter because it is SO SHORT! Also, I have been really busy with college, work, and some personal stuff that has been going on these past few months. It also doesn't help that I do not and have never had a specific plot for this story, so everything I write is literally coming off of the top of my head. If anyone wants to help beta this story, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get! Since it's summer I'm hoping to get a lot more writing done so we'll see how that goes. Thank you to everyone who reads this!

Chapter Seven

Joffrey decided to hang out with Ron for the rest of that day and try to help him understand and come to terms with the entire situation. The boys were sitting on the bed together with their legs crossed, talking as if they were old friends. Ron was glad for Joffrey's company not only because of his friendly personality, but because he was someone who could give him an honest answer and wasn't a part of the Harry-Malfoy thing. It was refreshing to be able to hear an opinion about the entire situation without worrying about if it was biased or not. Ron was still picking food off of his plate of steak and he offered a French fry to Joffrey.

"So," Ron said leaning back on the headboard of his bed. "What's your opinion of gay people?" Joffrey froze. Should he tell Ron that he was gay or wait to tell him when he was more comfortable with the whole situation? Joffrey's battle in his head took only a second, and then he spoke.

"Well," he started. "My best friend, Luna is a lesbian." Start small, he thought to his self. Wait and see his reaction. Ron nodded, trying to be understanding. "And…I – I prefer boys myself." Joffrey blushed, embarrassed, and turned away from Ron.

Ron expected to be disgusted as he was when he found out about Harry, but that feeling never came. Instead he smiled and put a hand on Joffrey's shoulder. "I must already be getting used to the idea of gay people. For some reason I don't mind."

Joffrey smiled sweetly and turned back to Ron. "I must have secret powers that force acceptance of gay people into the minds of other people," he said jokingly. Ron, wanting to one-up the brunette's joke stated, wiggling his fingers, "My secret power is making noodles fly out of my fingers onto people I don't like!" This, of course, sent Ron into a fit of hysterical laughing. Ron's uncontrollable laughter sending Joffrey into a laughing fit to the point that he couldn't breathe and tears were streaming down his face.

After a few minutes they calmed down enough to wipe the tears of laughter off of their faces and catch their breath. Ron finished his dinner and put the plate on his bedside table. Looking out the window, he noticed how dark it was outside. Joffrey yawned, stretching his arms and back. As he did this, Ron noticed that his shirt lifted, showing off his fit form as well as his belly button and his happy trail that led to his…Shaking his head of foreign and unwelcome thoughts, Ron got up and put his shoes back on.

"Would you like to come with me to give these to the house elves? I've been sitting all day and my legs need a workout."

"Sure," Joffrey said, sitting up and putting his shoes back on as well. They walked through the halls to the kitchens in comfortable silence. They gave the dishes to Dobby, and then walked back to their dorms. When the paths to their dorms separated, Joffrey stopped to say goodbye to the redhead. "Hey Ron?"

"Yeah?"

"When are you going to confront Harry and Draco and talk about everything?" Ron thought about this. Was he ready to confront Harry? Ron shrugged.

"I'm not sure. I still have things I need to sort out in my head. But I will try to do it by tomorrow. I'm just not ready to talk to him today." Joffrey smiled in understanding.

"You're a good mate, Ron," He said before turning down the hallway that headed toward his dorm, leaving Ron time to figure things out.

Harry spent the whole day crying his eyes out. He missed his classes again, but he honestly couldn't care less. Draco stayed with him in their room, holding Harry even though the brunette insisted he go to his classes. Draco considered going, but he didn't want to leave Harry alone just in case he decided to put a knife to his wrists again. Harry had just fallen asleep when Draco heard someone knocking on the door. He got up, carefully setting Harry on the bed, and quietly went to open the door.

"Weasley." Draco growled. "What do you want now?" Draco quietly closed the door shut so that they both were standing in the hallway. Draco leaned against the wall and waited for the redhead to explain himself. A few seconds stretched into a few minutes before Ron was able to speak.

"I...um...well...I guess I just wanted to say...sorry. For...you know yelling at Harry and saying all those things." Ron's face was red with shame. Draco's face – of course – was cool and collected and set into a sneer.

"And why should I believe that within a day you have completely changed your prejudiced mind to accepting that your best friend is not only completely bent, but also in a relationship with his and your worst enemy?" Ron shrugged.

"I guess I just needed time to process it, that's all. Harry's my best mate and I do my best to try not to jeopardize that. Not that you could understand that considering Slytherins don't make friends – only alliances." Ron glared at Draco. "Just because you are dating my best mate doesn't mean I have to start getting all chummy with you all of a sudden." Draco eyed Ron coolly.

"I wasn't expecting you to suddenly have a change of heart Weasley. I myself refuse to acknowledge your obnoxiousness until you prove to me otherwise. Especially after the stunt you pulled with Harry. You have no clue what he has been going through these past months what with his godfather dying and you and Granger starting a relationship without even thinking whether Harry would feel like a left out third wheel. You don't know the things he does to stop feeling the pain. You don't deserve his friendship Weasley. But he obviously feels some sort of attachment to you so you better damn well prove it to him."

By the end of this, Ron was left speechless. He really had no idea what had been going on in Harry's life and he should have been there. Shit...Fuck. What a horrible best friend he was. Fuuuuck. Drack smirked as he saw the emotions running through the Weasel's face. After a second passed, Ron pulled himself together and ran a hand through his hair. "Tell Harry what I told you if you want, but I'll be back in the morning to tell him to his face." Draco barely acknowledged him as he walked back to Gryffindor tower.

Ron was going to have to earn Draco's trust before he would consider being nice to the weasel. Shaking his head at the ridiculous situation (that being him dating Harry and considering eventually befriending the red-headed git), he went back into the room and got into bed with Harry, holding him as close as he possibly could. Harry was worth all of this and more and Draco would do anything for them to be together.
