Tatsuya is very aware that this isn't a date.
Yuuri keeps reminding him of that, after all. She added that a moment after announcing that the two of them were going to spend the afternoon at a restaurant, she went over the plans as they walked there together (in rented formal wear), and she keeps telling him to keep his eyes on the shady-looking businessman as the waitress serves him his lunch.
He's aware of all that. It doesn't mean that he's not going to try and enjoy having an afternoon alone with Yuuri as much as possible.
"C'mon Yuuri, you gotta order something. Other people are starting to stare."
She gives him that thoughtful look of hers. "It is important to keep our cover up." When the waitress comes back, she says, "I'll have what he's having."
They're quiet after that, but that's fine with Tatsuya. He's lived with Yuuri to know that's just how she is, and besides, he likes watching her when she eats-- it's a task as every bit as neat and orderly as she is. And now that she and he are sharing a meal, their stake out is starting to slowly but surely become more like a date, so--
"He's moving." She waits long enough so that the businessman won't realize they're following him before she stands up. "Tatsuya, let's go."
Tatsuya stands up, grabs his wallet… and then notices that Yuuri's already paid for her meal.
Guess this wasn't a date after all.
