Chocolate
Zero five hundred. No one was in the squad room except for him. Slipping a bag out of his pocket, he slipped it onto the Mossad officer's desk. Quietly, he slipped over to his own desk and began his work.
Two hours later, Ziva David stepped off the elevator and headed for her desk. Tony and McGee were already at their desks, working on their case reports from yesterday.
"Morning," Ziva said. "Where is Gibbs?"
"Coffee," Tony replied as he placed his hands behind his head and leaned back in his chair. Ziva eyed Tony suspiciously and sat down at her desk, noticing the gift back that was on her desk. Curiously she peeked inside the bag. Inside were over two dozen assorted Lindt truffles. The person that had given her this knew her well, chocolate was one of her only weaknesses.
"McGee, did you do this?" Ziva asked, looking over at McGee and holding up the bag.
"Nope," McGee answered.
"Tony?" Ziva asked and Tony just looked at her with a 'yeah right' look on his face.
"You both know that I will find out, right?" Ziva said. Neither of them said anything. Making a decision, Ziva picked up the back and headed for Abby's lab.
Abby was dancing around the lab when Ziva arrived.
"ABBY!" Ziva yelled. Abby looked up, grabbed the remote, and turned the music down.
"Sorry," Abby said sheepishly. "What's up?" Ziva held up the bag of truffles.
"It seems I have a secret admirer," Ziva said.
"Oh, how exciting," Abby said. "I do love a good mystery in the morning."
"Can you pull up security footage from when I left last night until I came in this morning?" Ziva asked.
"Of course," Abby said, turning towards the computer. Abby pulled up the footage and fast forwarded it.
"Stop, there," Ziva said, pointing at the plasma. Abby clicked and zoomed in.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Abby asked. All Ziva could do was stare.
Ziva walked back into the squad room with a smirk on her face.
"What are you so happy about?" Tony asked.
"I know who sent me the chocolate," Ziva said smiling, not failing to notice Tony's smile falter a bit.
"Who sent them?" Tony asked.
"I believe that that is none of your business," Ziva said, sitting at her desk and booting up her computer. Then, making sure that Tony was watching, Ziva took a truffle out of the back. It was 60 dark chocolate, her favorite. Slowly she unwrapped the truffle from its foil and seductively bit it in half, enjoying the flavor as it burst onto her tongue. Tony shifted uncomfortably in his seat, watching Ziva's every move.
"Enjoying yourself, DiNozzo?" Gibbs said, startling both Tony and Ziva.
"Uh, Boss?" Tony asked, making as though he didn't know what Gibbs was talking about. Gibbs simply smacked Tony on the head as he walked past.
Later that night, as Ziva was finishing up for the night, Tony meandered over to her desk.
"Zee-vah," Tony drawled. "Did you like your chocolate?"
"Yes, I did. Thank you very much Tony," Ziva said.
"For what?" Tony asked.
"For the chocolate," Ziva said, leaning in to his face. "It's my weakness."
"How did you know?" Tony asked, dumbfounded.
"Abby and I looked at footage from the squad room," Ziva admitted.
"Can't you ever just be surprised, just once," Tony whined, sitting on her desk.
"I really appreciated it," Ziva said.
"So, I've been wondering," Tony said. "When am I ever going to find out if you're a screamer?" Ziva glared at him, but then the glare was replaced with a smile.
"Hmm…. Maybe tonight."
Later that night, Tony was extremely grateful that he'd bought that chocolate for Ziva.
A/N: So, I go to culinary school and I'm a pastry students and the other day in class we had our chocolate lecture and I got bored and started writing down this story. Hope you liked it!!!
