Pairing: Chad/Karin
Word:annoyed
Chad inwardly wanted to smash anything and everything that made noise, right now. How is one supposed to get a report done when, everywhere he goes, it's about twice as loud as the place before.
He couldn't finish it at the Starbucks, because it was an unusually busy day. That made it so that his internet connection would have to be from somewhere else, and be a little messed up. He could deal with that.
The book store is too loud, because today happens to be 'Opera Day,' and that shit is piped through every speaker in the damned store. He could deal with that.
He couldn't even get it done in his own apartment because his dumbass neighbor is having some loud party that has something to do with American football, and loud music. It's not that he can't deal with that, it's that he won't deal with it.
Chad had finally cracked. He went into the open apartment, and turned the stereo down, as he did the television. Five minutes later, when he was finally able to concentrate on tgetting his damned report done, the whack jobs noticed the stereo wasn't as loud as it was, and they turned everything back up again. Apparently, they wanted to get stoned to loud rap music.
Chad cursed just as Karin was walking in the door. She was carrying a Starbucks tray with a mocha granita, and another bag, that probably had something Yuzu had made.
"Something wrong?" She asked, setting the cargo down on the coffe table, and walking up to him. She leaned over him, resting her chin on top of his, arms wrapped around his neck.
"Just can't concentrate, is all. I only have a few more pages to go, though," He replied. He brought one of his hands up to rest on her wrists.
"I can hear why. Those assholes dn't know the meaning of hearing loss, do they?" Karin kissed the top of his head, and stood up straight, much to Chad's disappointment. "Gimme a sec," She walked out the door, and ended up in the apartment next door.
Chad heard some yelling, and what sounded like chords being ripped from the wall. He then heard some cursing, and a few popping sounds. She'd probably dislocated someone's something.
Karin returned a few minutes later, a smile plastered to her face.
"Now that you can concentrate, concentrate on me for a sec." She kneeled down on the floor in front of him, and took his laptop, saving his work, and shutting it down. "I think you've been spending too much time on this damned thing. You still have a few days, and after tonight, I'll get out of that wavy hair of yours, but tonight, you're mine. What do you think about making our own noise?"
She was kissing him by the time he figured out that she meant more than just blasting his stereo.
Well, it doesn't really fit the word at the top, and I kind of stole the 'Word Prompt' idea from someone on LiveJournal. Not sure from who, though. It's the product of my bordom, hot off the Sputtering Candle Production Line.
