It was dark by the time the two had finished their training—though they had both noticed earlier that the sky had darkened with signs of an approaching snowfall.
"It's cold tonight, hey!" His deep voice held a hint of worry to it; causing her to pause from setting her own tent up for the night.
"Winter is coming." She'd survive, at least. He might still be new to all this, but he would need to tough it out. Fighting back the urge to hug herself in the cold; her eyes hardened slightly—after all, she wouldn't show any kind of weakness towards one of her students.
She stopped in her path when she felt something warm wrap around her shoulders—glancing behind her to see her student's small smile; something alien to his usually hard exterior.
She didn't reply, turning back to what she was doing, the quilt that was given to her heavy on her shoulders.
How bothersome.
She slept through that night peacefully.
