"It's a miracle we both survived." Leon said, undressing his wound to clean it. It had been a week since the Raccoon City incident, and he barely survived, along with his comrade, Tofu. Tofu glanced away from the floor, to Leon, and sighed. It really was a miracle. One day, the city is as bright as ever, people bustling about. Children playing in the parks, adults working, people eating, enjoying life, and the next day, the town was completely overtaken by the walking dead. The once lively, smiling faces were now hollow, decrepit, and rotting.

Well, were. Raccoon City was completely decimated shortly after they escaped. They escaped with their lives – barely – and with nightmares that would haunt them for years to come, if not years, for life. Tofu lovingly watched Leon tend to his wounds, and watched as Leon flinched. This tugged at Tofu's heart, and Tofu walked over to Leon, and silently motioned for him to sit down. Tofu then carefully cleaned the wound as Leon flinched some more. Leon sighed, as he spoke.

"You're so gentle about it. You do it better than I do." Tofu grinned at this comment. Tofu had come to like Leon. Love wasn't exactly the word, but there was just something about escaping the city barely alive – and it was a completely different experience when you had someone to share it with. Someone who knew what you went through. Strange thing to bond over, but they did. In the beginning, neither spoke much, but they started warming up to each other.

Leon watched as Tofu applied fresh dressing to the wound, and then turned to get Leon a clean shirt. He smiled as Tofu handed him the shirt, and noted that Tofu was gazing into his eyes. Leon felt something tug inside of him. He finally realized that he was no longer alone. He had bonded so much with Tofu over the recent days, he knew there was something more between them. They weren't just survivors. They weren't just friends. They were something more, but not quite.

" i Squish /i ." Tofu said.

"You feel it, too, don't you?" Leon asked, as he threw the shirt on the bed. It was strange, but Leon wanted Tofu so badly at that moment. Tofu felt the same about Leon. Their primal urges were pushing to get to the surface.

" i Squish. Squish squish, squish. /i " Tofu said. Leon nodded, and stood up to do what felt right. He kissed Tofu, a kiss that seemed to last forever, as their lips pressed together. Tofu felt Leon's arms caressing Tofu's body, as each allowed the kiss to linger.

There was nothing more perfect than this moment.
