A girl wearing a soft pink t-shirt with tight blue jeans and a black jacket followed after an older woman wearing a blazer who took her towards her new room. Also her new home. This was a 'private school' you could say. And you should of seen the school from the outside, it was one of the biggest schools Emma's ever seen. It looked like a mansion attached to a church. Everything looked so medieval about it. Old, but still classy. There was even gold gates at the front of the pathway to get in and a security guard before you entered, just in case.

Emma was the girl who followed the older woman. When they arrived to a hallway and went to room 266, the older woman opened the door. The dorm room they entered practically looked like an apartment. Emma would have her own kitchen, her own room. She could be alright with this.

"This is where you'll be staying Emma." Caitlin said. She was the older woman guiding Emma around and also an important role to this school. Why? Emma hadn't figured that part out yet. She was still getting use to this place alone.

Caitlin had a short blonde bob haircut. She was a nice woman with a trusting smile but weary eyes. Emma tried to force a smile when Caitlin gave her an assuring glance. She wanted Emma to feel at home here.

"Cheer up, okay? Things will get better" she put a hand on her shoulder and promised.

"Better?" Emma snickers, shaking her head and still hurt from everything that's happened, "My parents disowned me when they found out I was a witch..a 'freak', and I'm going to a school for Monsters now."

"Not monsters" another voice said, coming inside and up behind them. She had long chestnut brown hair, tanned and cute as a button.

"Emma, this is one of your roommates, her name is Mia." Caitlin introduced.

Emma wanted to be polite and smile but her nerves got the best of her and she sadly looked around the apartment again. Mia giggled a bit, explaining, "Don't worry, I felt this way too my first day. It takes weeks to get use to it here. It's a lot to take in at once. But don't look at us like we're monsters..you're not either. We like to call ourselves 'special'. But never monsters. Unless your talking about the Vivians."

"Vivians?" Emma asked, clueless.

Caitlin rolled her eyes at Mia's comment and sighed before having to explain to Emma, "She means the left side of campus where some people, like you whom are specail, go - to uh- to learn how to exactly work their powers. They aren't monsters. They are just struggling with either control, or cravings.."

Emma's eyes widened a little, looking back at Mia. "Cravings?"

"Vampires." Mia whispered and put her fingers up to her mouth to pretend to look like fangs.

Emma looked so overwhelmed, trying to take this all in. She always knew she was a witch, but she hadn't thought about other things of the supernatural kind to be real too.

So the Vivians were a side of school that were for people who were supernatural that haven't figured their powers out yet or how to work them?...

"Isn't that where I should be then?" Emma questions.

'Oh Emma no," Caitlin quickly corrected her, "That's for the people who have already messed up or are new to magic, o-or.. are just a risk, a trouble maker. That have potential to be bad. You see?"

Emma nodded, but still looked pale.

"Right..." Emma sighed heavily, trying to take this all in and then peaked into her new room. Well, the double bed was nice. She only had a single back home. The walls were a light grey, as were her pillows on the bed with a nice white cover. There was a dresser of course for her clothes, and a desk for studying. A tv screen was hung on the wall just over the dresser.

"New girl?" Another girl came in who had long brown hair as well, but way more dark than Mia's and had bangs across her forehead. She was petite and curvy, foxy looking. She grinned with dimples digging into her cheeks, "I'm Manny." she introduced.

"Emma" So far she had to admit, it wasn't as horrible as she thought. She already found herself somewhat comfortable around these girls..

"I'll help you unpack." Manny insisted, and Mia came back holding a mug of tea and leaned on the Kitchens doorway.

"And by that, she means come and see what clothes you have she could take from you now and then." Mia declared, tossing a knowing smile at Manny who sheepishly grinned.

Caitlin laughed, and was happy the girls were getting along. She looked to Emma and genuinely looked hopeful for her, "You'll love it here, soon. I'll see you in your classes tomorrow. Dinners at 7."

Emma tilted her head confused but watched her go. She turned back and shifted in her spot awkwardly.

"So..can't we make our own dinner?" she asked the girls.

Manny shrugged her shoulders, "If we want to, but there's a huge cafeteria full of food and I'm not much of a cook. But we do have the choice to go or not except on school days..it's mandatory.."

Emma's mouth shaped an oh and with that, Manny bent down to help her with her bags and groaned a bit as she picked it up, "What do you HAVE in here?!"

Emma giggled, and she led the girls to her new room.

(((**))

"So Emma," Manny now sat on her bed while the blonde unpacked. Mia fully laid down on it, flipping through a magazine she found in Emma's bag. "Any boyfriends? Siblings? Hot brothers?"

Mia smiled, rolling her eyes. Classic Manny. Emma had to laugh too while putting things in her drawer, "No. Only child. And parent-less now." she shook her head, looking glum again. She then blinked and tossed her eyes toward the girls, hoping they didn't notice as she faked a smile.

"As for boyfriend status.. I dumped him." she shrugged her shoulder, "For the better."

Manny eyed Emma up kind of sadly. The poor girl. She leaned forward and shook her head, "Em, you can't take this as a curse. What you are is a ..gift. You're extraordinary. Why do you think it's so bad?"

Emma answered stiffly, "Because I got disowned for it by own flesh and blood?"

"We all got disowned for it." Manny said matter of factly and raised her perfect shaped eyebrow, "Blood doesn't make family, loyalty does."

Emma paused, and glanced away from her clothes to Manny strangely. Hmm... that was one way to looking at it I guess. Yet, now she was friendless too and a stranger to everybody. She felt all alone.

Mia chimed in, "So what are you anyways?"

"Witch." Emma declared.

Manny bit her lip smiling, "Cool." she looked in lala land, like wondering what that'd be like and then snapped out of it, "I can read minds sometimes. And see things..from the future."

Emma looked blown away. That was something. Wow. She looked to Mia who smiled shyly, "I'm freakishly strong when I wanna be." she said.

"She's like Buffy the vampire slayer." joked Manny with a giggle they joined in on.

"Come on." Mia declared, and got up, Manny followed after and they turned to Emma, "Lets go to dinner!"

((((**)))

Emma wore a jean skirt and a white tank top with a grey cardigan over it. Her hair was always in a salon blow out state and it flowed as she followed Manny and Mia into a large dinner hall. This must be the cafeteria. It honestly looked like the cafeteria in the movie Harry Potter... just with no floating candles or hats.

Wow, Emma thought.

"Guys, this is Emma." Manny introduced while sitting and the blonde sat next to her. They sat at a table with a blonde already sitting there, who was wearing all pink. She seemed to preppy yet the one who sat next to her was so ...gothic, all dressed in black, with red hair.

"I'm Ellie, and this is Paige." the redhead pointed to the Blonde who slyly grinned and wiggled her fingers as a wave.

Another girl came to their table as Emma began to pick up a fork to eat. Dinner was already on the table. Salad and potatoes with Chicken. Emma left out the chicken (She was a vegan).

The girl who came over gasped, "You must be the new girl!" she put her hand out.

Emma looked up, taken back a little but tried to smile and shook her hand slowly. She heard Manny giggle beside her and the girls around seemed annoyed of the intruder.

"I'm Darcy." the girl finally introduced herself. She had brown hair with lots of highlights in it and also wearing cherry lip gloss. "I'm from the school council. If you ever feel like joining any activities, come to me first." she smiled and left with that.

Paige scoffed and looked to Emma, "Try to avoid that girl."

Ellie seemed to snicker at Paige, "You only hate her cause you want Emma to join your school activities." she leaned closer to Emma to explain, "Paige is school president."

"And my activities are much funner." smirked Paige, trying not to look guilty that in fact, that could be the reason she hated Darcy. Darcy was such a follower, Paige was the Queen B.

From beside Emma, Manny took a sip of her water while pointing at Paige and the way Darcy went with her finger, "They're trolls."

Emma was taking a sip of her own drink when she almost spit it out and covered her mouth, looking wide eyed at Paige then at Manny, "Isn't that rude to say?"

The girls at the table laughed, and Paige gave Emma a sympathetic look, "You're cute, hun. But really, I'm a troll." she played with her hair, "That's why my hair looks so fuzzy. Trolls feed off happiness from people."

Emma looked awfully impressed and smiled a bit in entertainment"..so that's why you and Darcy are so preppy."

"Mhm!" she nodded and explained, "But don't ever get on a trolls bad side. We can be mean when one tries to get us upset. We'll start arguments and it's hard to calm us down.. hense the phrase 'Trolling'."

Emma quietly laughed to herself, nodding and totally getting it now.

"So what are you, Emma?" Paige asked, intrigued with the girl.

"She's a witch." Manny answered for her, she had noticed Emma paused a little. She must still feel like she had to hide it, but not here.

"I'm a witch too." Ellie declared and Manny couldn't help but have fun looking between the two, seeing how they were so different yet both witches.

"El's on level four for her powers. What are you at?" Manny asked Emma.

Emma stopped eating and looked confused. "I-I don't know."

"What can you do?" Ellie asked and looked up proudly, but shrugged as if not a big deal. "I can float when I want to, move things.. stuff like that. I once raised a cat back to life when it choked on a furball."

Emma smiled slightly and then looked down. She knew they were waiting for an answer so mumbled, "I've done that before too."

"Brought a dead cat back to life?" Mia asked with a giggle and shared a look with the girls.

Emma cleared her nervous throat and shrugged but shook her head no. Should she even be telling anybody?

"Come on bashful," Manny nudged her shoulder into hers, "You raised ...?"

"My Dad back to life." Emma swallowed hard and looked up almost ashamed, yet saw all their astonished looks on their faces. They were blown away. She nodded and explained, "He got hit by a car. I freaked out, I ran to him, healed him, brought him back..and that's when they found out I was a witch. I could always do smaller things," she looked at Ellie, hoping she'd understand, "Like move things when I was kid, or even start fires, but I always kept it my own secret. But that, I couldn't."

Ellie didn't look sympathetic nor understanding though, she looked quite envious and jealous. She cornered her eyes at Emma as Manny spoke up, "Em! That's like high witch power." she laughed in disbelief, "You're probably one of the strongest witch in your classes and you haven't even begun yet."

Ellie bit the end of her tongue then got up, "Well, I got some studying to do tonight. Night guys." With that, she was off and Emma watched her go and turned back to the group.

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Ignore her sweetie," giggled Paige, sticking her fork into her chicken, "She's just jealous. Looks like you're a powerful witch."

Emma still felt bad though, and looked the way Ellie went until something else caught her attention and her breath got caught in her throat. Her eyes were hypnotized even if she did want to look away. Someone had his eyes right on her at the corner of the room. He sat at his own table with his own friends.

Of course a stranger watching her would catch her off guard, but this one did so much more and she felt goosebumps run up her arms. He was gorgeous. He had flawless fair skin, and dimples with piercing blue eyes Emma could see from feet away. He had charming wavy hair that was brown and stopped above his shoulders and he was buff (arms of steel). He wore a white wife beater and black un-bottoned shirt over it, and then some jeans too. But he didn't seem like Prince Charming, she was good at reading auras and he was surrounded by some darkness. She could see it in those eyes of his too, they were slightly cold even though so pretty and blue.

"That's Sean." Manny whispered to her and Emma turned back instantly.

Oh my god, she couldn't believe she had stared that long back at him and he didn't even flinch or move a muscle. Oh god, those muscles were back on the mind again.

"He's.." Emma drifted off and then tried to shake her head out of it, "Got a staring problem."

Emma tried to go back to eating but caught Manny's knowing smirk at her. Emma must have a staring problem too then cause Manny saw her stare back. She also saw something between them, because frankly, Sean Cameron didn't look at anybody and the curiosity in Emma's eyes were easy to see.

"That whole group is bad news." Muttered Mia, eyes still on her food but knew exactly what they were talking about.

Emma snuck one more glance back. Sean was looking down anyways now, and she ripped her eyes off of him to view his group of friends. They had bad auras too, but the one across from Sean made Emma feel the most uneasy. He was tall and lean, wearing a black hat backwards on his head. He leaned back, smirking to his friends and one seemed to be telling a story. His eyes were emerald green and when he looked around, he didn't seem to be scanning the room naturally..it was like he was watching prey and not students pass by.

Then there was a girl who sat next to him, with short black raven hair and she was pale. She was laughing at whatever the guy speaking was saying."That's Alex." Mia explained, "And the guy next to her with the hat is Jay."

"And the other one?" Emma asked, watching the guy who was talking accidentally hit his elbow into Sean's arm when he leaned back to laugh. He received a harsh glare from Sean and then Sean got up, as if bored now, and walked off. Emma's hazel eyes watched him until out of site.

"That's Spinner," Paige spoke up, "Completely harmless. He's friends with everyone. We dated.. he's kind of a goof ball though. He can turn invisible whenever he wants, uses it to his advantage and sometimes pervy evil ways."

"Is he Vivian?" Emma asked.

Manny chimed in, "They all are. That's how he knows them. Spin just uses his magic for dumb irresponsible things.'" she nodded the way Sean left, "He's a vampire. So is Alex. They were sent to the vivian side of the school cause they are the only vampires who've actually dranken human blood before."

Emma's hazel eyes widened a little more.

Manny glanced back at the table, "..And that's Jay. He's a werewolf. And he's a jerk too" she snuck a glance back at him til sadly on her food, "You'll find out soon I'm sure." she suddenly didn't have an appetite anymore and smiled uneasily to Emma, "I'm finished. Do you need me to stay or can you find your own way back?"

"I'm okay. Mia's here too if I get lost" Emma assured and Manny just weakly smiled and got up, leaving.

Mia watched Manny go and turned her head back to Emma, "She and Jay had a thing. Everyone really thought Jay had finally met his match, but then one day out of nowhere he told Manny they couldn't be together."

"Why not?"

"He's vivian." Mia said with a shrug.

Paige filled in some more, "They barely dated a few weeks. It was officail for barely a month and we really did see her getting through to him, making him better. Nicer. But then he just changed back to being his old cold self and acted like he wanted nothing to do with her anymore."

Emma furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Then so what if he was Vivian if he could be changed? Unless he thought he couldn't be. Maybe he ended things with Manny cause he didn't think he could be changed. I mean, Manny was awfully pretty and seemed really nice..Emma liked her already! So how could the guy just let a girl like that go? She couldn't help but glance back at the mysterious table one more time, but they were all gone now, even the one with the blue eyes that was staring at her before.

How mysterious..
