A/N: Hey, all. I decided that since I've redone a whole bunch of Christmas songs, I might as well redo Twas the Night Before Christmas. So there you go, I have. Enjoy!
Also, as this may help to know, the "I" and "me" referred to in this story is Kakashi.
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas
the night before training, when all through the house
Not a
creature was stirring, not kyuubi, not mouse.
The kunai were
placed in their holsters with care,
In hopes that they'd be
there to fly through the air.
The genin were nestled all snug
in their beds,
While visions of fights yet fought played in their
heads.
And Anko with her jutsu, and I with my mask,
Had just
settled our fights for a long A-ranked task.
When out in the
town there arose such clatter,
I sprang from the room to see what
was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore
open the shutters and heard a large crash.
The moon on the
breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to
objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But
an evil man there, and some Sound ninja here.
With a creepy
old sensei, filled with his sorrow,
I knew in a moment 'twas
Orochimaru.
More rapid than eagles his ninja they came,
And he
hissed, and he shouted, and called them by name!
"Now
Sakon! now, Ukon! Tayuya and Dosu!
Jirobo! Kabuto! on, Sasuke and
Aku!
To the Hokage's house! to the top of the wall!
Now fight
away! Fight away! Fight away all!"
Like dry leaves that
before the wild hurricane fly,
There they meet with an obstacle, a
man name of Gai.
So up to the roof-top the ninja they ran,
With
a path lain with dead, and the giant snake man.
And then, with
a jutsu, I got on the roof
With some hitting and jutsus that made
a small poof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down
the rooftop the Uchiha came with a bound.
He was dressed all
in white, from his head to his toe,
And his clothes were tied up
with a big purple bow.
A well endowed girl he had flung on his
back,
And he looked like a demon; hate he did not lack.
His
eyes-how they smouldered! his stance made me wary!
His face was
contorted, he was pretty scary!
His sharp little mouth was drawn
up in a sneer,
And the shine from his hand, it made everything
clear.
The chakra he used stuck his hair from his head,
And
the chirping, it filled my ears til they bled.
He had a death gaze
with a bright sharingan,
And shook as he stared, like a test
subject gone wrong!
He was somber and pale, a right scary old
thrill,
And I swore when I saw him, in spite of my will!
A
glint of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I
had something to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight
to his work,
And powered his chakra, then turned with a jerk.
And
splaying his captive aside of his head,
And turning around, down
the rooftop he sped!
He sprang to the end, to his team gave a
shout,
And away they all ran like we had driven them out.
But I
heard him sneering, 'ere he dove out of sight,
"Good luck
training to all, and to all a good fight!"
