Ginny Potter And The Confusing Game Of Monopoly
"Ginny!" said Harry, coming out from the attic. He had been exploring the attic, because the original owners had left some things behind.
"What dear?" asked Ginny, coming out of the kitchen.
"Look what I found!" exclaimed Harry, shoving a medium sized dusty box in front of her face.
"Harry…" she said, coughing, and wiping some of the dust away, "What is it?" she asked, examining the strange box.
"It's possibly the greatest muggle game EVER!" he said. Ginny just raised an eyebrow.
"Monopoly! Ginny! You've never heard of Monopoly?!?" He screamed.
Ginny was taken aback by his sudden screaming. He pulled her into the living room, and started setting up the board onto the coffee table.
"Harry… how do you play Monopoly?" Ginny asked, excited yet curious.
"Well, Ginny, it's really easy. First, we chose a piece that represents us on the game board. Then, we take turns rolling dice to land on property," he pointed at a tile that said 'Boardwalk', "and you can either by the property, or not, and when you land on bought property, you have to give the owner the rent for it, with the Monopoly money." Harry said, picking up a white bill of money, "But, the owner can put houses or hotels on it, which raises the cost by a lot, and the object of the game is to own everything on the board, or take all of the other people's money." Finished Harry, looking proud that he actually remembered all the rules, even though he hadn't played in at least ten years.
"Well…" said Ginny, "This game seems… interesting. Lets play!" Ginny said, getting into game mode.
"Ok then, but Ginny, be warned, this game can go on for hours, and I am a master at this." Harry said, knowing her patience, or lack there of.
After 20 minutes of Monopoly, Harry had 10 dollars left, and Ginny dominated most of the board.
Harry rolled the dice. 3. He moved his thimble 3 spaces, and landed right on Ginny's triple hotel-ed boardwalk. He cringed. Even if he mortgaged all his property, he'd still come up short. He quickly thought of a plan.
"Hey, Ginny! I have an idea!" he said, and Ginny gave him an 'I won and you know it' look.
"What's your idea, Mr. Potter?"
"Well, Mrs. Potter. Have you even heard of Scrabble?"
