The flower field seemed to glow a beautiful golden yellow as the full moon shined down on them. And there she stood with him. The two seemingly haloed within the golden low of the daffodils

He looked at her. She looked back at him. The two seemed to stare at each other as for what seemed like hours, not making a sound, just gazing at each other. She had no real idea as to why she was here. She had just received a message telling her to meet up with him here. It also said that he had something important to tell her. She couldn't take silence any more, she had to ask him

"Sonic" she said quietly "why did you tell me to come here? What's this important thing that you had to tell me?"

Sonic took a step closer and took one of her hands and spoke gently "I've known you for quite some time now right?"

"Well…I guess" she responded nervously

"And over this time that I've known you, I've seemed to develop strange feelings for you"

"S-s-strange, feelings?"

Sonic looked right into her dark green eyes "I couldn't explain them at first…but over time, I think I now know what these feelings are"

"Uh, you do?" she replied, "W-well, what are the feelings?"

Sonic took hold of her other hand, causing her to jump a little at the sudden sensation, and stared deeply into her jade green eyes, he then spoke softly

"Amy…" there was a long pause "…I think I love you"

Amy's heart did a back flip inside her chest, it was beating faster and faster, she began to blush furiously, she tried to respond, but she couldn't quite get her words straight

"Wha-,I-I-Uh..Well…"

Sonic moved his right hand from hers and placed his index finger on her lips, silencing her.

"Amy…" he said once more "…would you go out with me?"

Amy's face turned even redder and tried to calm herself…but it was no use, she did the one thing that she could, she flung her body toward his embracing him in her arms. This caught Sonic off guard as he fell to the soft ground, Amy fell with him, but that didn't bother her, she just muzzled her head into his chest and said softly

"Of course I will"

Sonic's arms slowly reached around Amy's body and returned the embrace that she was giving him

Amy moved her head upward so that it was even with his, and without any further warning, she closed her eyes and gently placed her lips on his

Sonic was surprised at first, but then later relaxed and began to kiss back gently

The couple lay there in the field of golden flowers, sharing the love they now had for each other. They were there for what seemed like an eternity, they finally broke apart from each other, and got up slowly, they held each other's hands and began to walk, they didn't know where. But it didn't matter.

As long as they were together.
