Authors Note: This is something different from me, and yes it is sad and depressing. I hope it's okay for trying to right a more realistic tragedy. Read on.

Thanksgiving is supposed to be a happy time, a time for food, fun, and family. But for the Hikari's, and one lonely girl... it was much more than that. It was a day were no one could say anything... a day where none of them could look at the empty seat near the window...

"Sora what are you doing?" An auburn haired girl giggled as the boy pushed her onto the couch and kissed her lightly.
"I have to go pick up Riku so he can stay over and come to dinner tomorrow. I'll be back soon okay?" Sora whispered into her ear lightly.
"But Sora, it's snowing terribly outside... the roads are horrible! Can't we wait till the storm passes?" The girl mumbled, grabbing his arm as he attempted to stand up.
"Kairi, I will be fine. I promise I'll come back to you." He kissed her cheek softly and he grabbed his coat from beside the door.
"Sora wait-" Kairi managed to whimper out, but he turned and put a finger across his lips.
"I'll be fine Kairi." He grabbed the doorknob, and shut it lightly, stepping into the snowy night.
"Sora." Kairi rubbed her arms at the rush of cool air that had come from the soft shut of the door.

The car skidded across a patch of ice, another car attempted to come to a halt.
He pressed his foot to the break, turning the wheels away from the oncoming car.
But it was too late.

The call came to her ten minutes later.
As she came to the place the crash had happened, everything became blurred and slowed, and she saw him beside the car.
Blood was everwhere across the white snow.
"Sora, oh my god, Sora no!" She cupped his head in her arms and she saw his eyes begin to glaze over. "Sora!"
"K-kai..." He spluttered blood out of his mouth as he talked. "I l-l-lov-ve, y-o-o-u."
"I love you too... oh Sora no-" She hugged him tightly. "It'll be okay. You're going to be okay."
Suddenley he slumped... his breathing slowed, until finally halting...
He was gone.

No noise came from the table as Thanksgiving dinner almost came to a close. Kairi was sitting across from where Sora was supposed to be, and her eyes were glued to her plate that she hadn't touched in the past hour. His younger brother Roxas was sitting beside her, his eyes full of tears, his plate untouched as well. Riku, the Hikari's cousin, was sitting across from Roxas, his plate untouched, his face pale and unmoving, but the silent tears puring from his eyes caused him to move and wipe them away. And sitting at the ends of the table were Mr. and Mrs Hikari, their plates untouched, and their eyes resting on the empty seat that just yesterday would have been filled by their son.
Sora Hikari.
Seventeen Years Old.
Loving Son, Loving Boyfriend, Loving Brother.
January 14th, 1989 - November 21st, 2007
Kairi closed her eyes, and let the tears flow.
