There were quite a few things Marui Bunta liked. Sweets, tennis, and Jiroh topped his list of "likes," with Jackal's shiny bald head coming in fourth place. He enjoyed it even more when all three were mixed together, with a little cuddle-up nap afterwards.
On Saturdays, if there was no practice in session, he would meet up with Jiroh at a public court. Often, Jiroh would pick up something for his idol and boyfriend, be it pocky, gum, or cake. At times, Jiroh had an urge to make Marui eat healthier food and brought him riceballs or sushi.
"Bu-chan's always hungry, and mom packs too much stuff for me anyways..." Jiroh had said to his team when they spotted him walking towards the public courts with two lunchboxes.
But one day, Jiroh decided to bring something entirely different. He brought a cat.
"He's so cute, ne? Ne?"
Marui admitted that the cat did look cute, with its large blue eyes and fluffy tail, but soon learned that cats just didn't mix well with his likes. Not only did it knock over all his snacks in the sidelines while he was demonstrating his new move to Jiroh, it also walked into the tennis courts and got hit by his ball right after it bounced off the net. Marui swore the cat set him up. What was even worse was that Jiroh scolded him for it. And it wasn't even his fault!
Marui then concluded that cats were evil, evil things indeed. When he saw Jackal walk to practice on Monday with a wandering Karupin in arm, he snapped. Ryoma later discovered Karupin was severely traumatized.
A/N: WE ALL KNOW THAT THE ONLY REASON MARUI AGREED TO BE JACKAL'S DOUBLES PARTNER WAS BECAUSE OF HIS AWESOME BALDNESS! 8D
