And now... The story. Enjoy, people!

"What are we all supposed to be looking at, Meathead?"

I asked. Katara was back at camp, making dinner. Aang, Sokka, and l were lying on the side of a grassy hill, and staring upward, as if something was there. There wasn't, to me, anyways. I was Toph, the blind, earthbending Master and I couldn't see a speck of anything where my head was tilted. Not even with earthbending. For the skies were... They were divine. They were disconnected from the earth, where I could not feel them, let alone soak in their so-called beauty and glory.

"The sunset, Toph. We're looking at a sunset," answered Sokka.

"Oh."

I grunted.

"I love all of the colors," said Aang, "it's like the skies are painted."

They didn't know it, but all of those words hurt me. I could hide it, sure, but inside, it made me want to really see the painted skies, with all their majesty. It made me want to see the moon, who was Yue, Sokka's first lover. It made me want to see light, which everyone was so fond of. It made me want to know what colors were. It made me want to see the twinkling lights of the stars at night. It made me want to see the things unknown to me, the things I could not feel with my feet.

"I'm sure they're beautiful, Aang. What color are they?"

I could feel his muscles tensing, and imagine his face morphing into one of complete horror. Typical Aang.

"Sorry, Toph!"

"Ah, just stop bothering me and go practice your waterbending with Katara."

Aang scrambled to his feet and left with those soft, pattering footsteps of his. Probably scared that I would earthbend him into a hole or something. I probably would have.

"You okay, Toph?" Sokka's tone of voice surprised me, he was gentle. Caring, almost.

"Yeah." I mustered up some courage, and said, "Snoozles, what does the sunset look like?"

I could feel him shift positions.

"Well, to start out, they are sort of red at the sides."

"What does red look like?"

"Think of Zuko. And of fire. Red is kind of like a color that stands out."

"Okay... Interesting description."

"Y'know the sun?"

"Yeah."

"It's really orange, kind of like the taste you get in your mouth when something is sweet and tangy."

"Mm hm." I was enjoying this, and my eyes were closed, trying to make a picture in my mind. I could feel a small smile on my lips.

"And then it's bright pink all over."

"Really... What's bright pink?"

He paused for a moment, thinking. Then, he leaned over, and I felt lips on mine. He broke away.

"That's what bright pink looks like."

I fixed my face into what hopefully looked thoughtful.

"Could you show me that again? I didn't really get that."

He kissed me again.

AN: Kind of drabbish. Little bit small, sorry guys. Review? Please?
