The Wonders of Google

A short little ficcy, because I was angry and didn't want to write my NaNoWriMo thing. It was supposed to kill my NaNo writer's block, but I must say it failed miserably.

Nope, don't own TeniPuri.

x The Wonders of Google x 400 words

Echizen Ryoma had decided one day, quite arbitrarily, to look up "Echizen Ryoma" on Google.

He glanced threw the results, noticing his Wikipedia article (Who had actually wasted so much time into creating it?) and the various fanlistings (Did people honestly think that he would get together with that Ryuzaki girl?).

He didn't click on any of the links, however, until one particularly salient result.

'We Want to Screw Echizen Ryoma Senseless Club.'

He hesitated. Did he really want to find out what said club was about? It could be all just a joke, of course, but ...

Curiosity truly did kill the cat. Ryoma clicked the link.

At first, it seemed innocuous enough. It had a banner at the top with his face on it, with the words 'Echizen Ryoma'. There was a long blurb describing him, talking about his birthday, his blood type, his favourite racquet, his hobbies, his favourite food (Where had the gotten all the info anyway?) and other things like that.

And at the very bottom of the blurb, there were a few links. One being 'Main Gallery'.

He clicked 'Main Gallery'.

He stared. Or rather, gaped. The gallery, which included a few pictures of him playing tennis, also included other pictures. Hand-drawn pictures. Of him. With other people that he didn't know. In rather disturbing situations.

He quickly pressed the 'back' button on the browser, and closed his eyes, trying to purge it of bad thoughts. He needed something to distract himself, and clicked on another link at the bottom. 'Members'.

He glanced at all the unfamiliar names. How could they join such a club without even knowing him? There were hundreds, maybe even thousands of names.

He scrolled to the bottom of the list, with all his upsetting thoughts forgotten. It had to be some sort of joke. None of the people on the list even knew him.

But the worst was yet to come. He noticed a link at the very bottom of the 'Members' page. The link had the word 'Regulars'.

He clicked it, a sense of foreboding overcoming him.

At the top of the 'Regulars' page, there was a short paragraph talking about how the members beneath the paragraph were the club's elite, etc, etc.

He looked at the names.

Atobe Keigo and Fuji Syusuke.

And his mind imploded. He closed the window, and vowed never to use Google again. x owari

Said club is completely fictional. Completely. Utterly. xD And wouldn't a review be just lovely? -awinchan
