Raven closed her book softly having just finished. She looked down at the large green lump taking up her lap. It was Beast Boy very content and very asleep. She smiled this was how most days ended now, Raven reading Beast Boy sleeping. Oh sure he tried to read to but it didn't work out so well. Soon he would lay across her head against her stomach arms stretched to one side idly flipping the pages of a comic book. His legs lay the other way and dangled off the side of the bed. Raven would run her fingers through his hair playing with it while she read. Then not long after he would be asleep occasionally kicking a leg or growling, it made her laugh because it was so dog like. Not to mention his nightly rounds. he would at odd hours of the night stumble out of bed walk the perimeter of the room sniff twice them crawl back into bed with her. She asked about it once and he said it was simply animal instincts trying to protect her. She thought it was cute, especially when he growled at the other guys. When Robin got too close to Raven once Beast Boy started growling and baring fangs at the fearless leader just about causing him to pee himself. He only did it once to Cy because while he was growling Cyborg grabbed a rolled up newspaper and smacked him on the nose. Beast Boy was so stunned he just sat there Raven on the other hand was falling off the couch laughing. Cyborg spent the next week making dog jokes around Beast Boy. Also when Raven came home from going out on her own Beast Boy was the first to greet her and during his welcome home procedure had to sniff her trying and failing to not care where she went. She loved that and every other strange overly protective thing he did. She slide down in bed kiss the top of Beast Boy's head and saying ⌠Goodnight love, you're the best guard dog anyone could have.
