Another poem, I thought of at school wait for my TA teacher to come back. Amazing what you can think of when you sit and watch people walk by.
Learning to Sit
You've got to know that something's wrong when you have to pencil in your family.
What happened to dinner around the table,
Where did old fashioned values go?
He doesn't wish he could throw the ball; he tosses the clock out the window.
What's the point of driving in the fast lane when you're only going in circles?
When are you gonna learn this is only increasing the medication?
Can you call this living?
Faster, faster they always say.
I swear, your all a bunch of robots running a race that your only gonna loose.
More, more, they always want.
When are you going to stand up and tell them your done?
What's the point of driving in the fast lane when you're only going in circles?
When are you gonna learn this is only increasing the medication?
Can you call this living?
I watch people rushing past with places to go, people to see;
As I sit on the sidelines and laugh at your silly games.
We live in mass insomnia, a city that never sleeps.
What's the point of driving in the fast lane when you're only going in circles?
When are you gonna learn this is only increasing the medication?
Can you call this living?
Maybe you should take a lesson in learning to sit.
