Chapter 1 the infected

"Command do you read this is recon squad six were under attack" screamed a marine over the radio as he was torn up by laser fire

"This is echo 45 we read you" a voice said over the radio on the other side of the transmission wolf soldiers were listening to the dead marines radio then threw him aside and kept moving

in another part of the battlefield a scream is heard from what they think is a marine who encountered an infected. two marines riding in a jeep look at each other then a females scream is heard and a load roar and then silence after an infected scream

"command to recon find were that scream is coming from" the officer said to the marines riding on quads they did a sound track and found the place were the sound came from and when they got there they found a dead infected and an infected red dragon. the mgs on the five quads tore it apart

"what the hell was that" the marine asked outloud then the scream was heard again the quads peeled out and raced toward the scream when they got there a wolf soldier was holding a black haird girl by the neck

the mgs fired and blood spurted everywere the girl ran she was almost as fast as a hunter but the quads caught up the marine on one of the quads held his hand out she took it and he flipped her onto the quad

"we have to go back" she screamed "why whats wrong" the driver asked "for eragon" the girl screamed the quad turned around and raced in the other direction two others followed

they found a cave were another dragon and a blonde haired boy were hiding "eragon!" the girl screamed and jumped off the quad and ran toward the boy "arya!" the boy said in disbelief two marines jumped off the quads and walked up

as they cam close the dragon snapped at them they stepped back "saphir-" eragon didnt have time to finish his sentance when a rocket tore through one of the quads the mg gunners fired as laser fire ripped through them three marines ran to find cover

they looked out to find three govit tanks and five support veichels and troops marching forward the marines opened fire but were soon supressed the. tanks fired and hit the cave causing it to start to collapse they ran out to find one quad still intact the two marines and arya got on as eragon flew off with saphira

the three marines were dead when they ran out they were riding when a flash came from ontop the hill and then arya screamed holding her stomach then she threw up blood and blacked out the gunner crouched to check on her she was shot in the stomach

they when they made it to the base eragon was there talking to some marines when the quad drove up three medics ran up and took arya when eragon saw her she had blood on her shirt and was unconcsious

the medics took her into a medical tent and out of veiw he walked up to one of the marines and puched him witch against their armour hurt him more than the marine he screamed and dropped to the floor they gavehim a tent and he went to sleep
