Michelle, ma belle
These are words that go together well
My Michelle

Two year old Michelle dipped her left hand into the blue paint before pressing it firmly against the blank canvas.

"Looks daddy!" she cried out happily, very proud of her work.

Jude looked up from his sketch and gave his daughter a big grin.

"It's amazing my love," he praised her.

The smile flashed wider across her face as she dipped her hand into the paint again and repeated the process until the canvas was covered with blue hand prints. Jude had paused his sketching for a moment as he watched his daughter make her own art. One of his favorite things to do was watch her. She was so curious about everything and eager to try almost anything new. It would upset her a great deal with he or Lucy would tell her that she was too little sometimes to try something. He hated to see her disappointed or upset.

I love you, I love you, I love you
That's all I want to say

"Daddy?" Michelle asked, placing her blue covered hand against his knee.

"Yes love?" he asked, setting his pencil down and gently ran his fingers through her silky blonde hair.

"You paints wif me pwease?" she asked, her brown eyes softening into a puppy dog look.

"Of course I will my dear," Jude smiled, taking the hand that wasn't covered in blue paint and sat down on the floor with his daughter.

Michelle let out a happy little squeal and flopped down next to her father.

"Makes me bunnies pwease?" she asked as she found a paint brush and dipped into the white paint before handing it to her father.

"Since you asked so nicely, I think I can do that for you," Jude said, taking the brush and made a few quick strokes, making the outline of a white rabbit for her.

"Yay!" she cheered.

Jude placed the brush in her hand and guided her hand around the paper so she could make her own bunny. Her light giggles and hearty laughs just made him burst with happiness inside. If he thought Lucy had stolen his heart, well then Michelle had devoured it. They spent half an hour painting together making various pictures of bunnies, butterflies, clouds and flowers.

"Come on love, let's go clean you up before your nap," Jude said, scooping her up and setting her on his hip.

"Noooo nap daddy!" she protested, but he could already see her eyes fighting to stay open.

He ignored her whines because he received them every day when it was her nap time so instead he just kissed her cheek and worked on getting her hand clean. He carried her into her bedroom afterwards and laid her down on the bed.

"I is no tired daddy," she yawned, squeezing her teddy bear to her chest.

Jude chuckled lightly and reached out to rub her back with his large, warm hand.

"Michelle, ma belle I need to, I need to, I need to I need to make you see oh, what you mean to me until I do I'm hoping you will know what I mean, I love you," he sang to her softly.

Her dark eyes fluttered shut and she drifted off into a deep sleep after letting out the softest sigh. He bought some of his drawing utensils into her room, working while she napped in her bed next to him. Jude sat his sketch pad down and brushed his fingers against the blue hand print she had left on his jeans, a big smile breaking across his face.
