"What?"

"Close your eyes and count to ten, boy!" A laugh.

"That is a--"

"--A ridiculous thing to do, yes, yes, yes, I know, but just do it" There was a playful smile on Aeleus' face, one that Ienzo rarely saw… but knew to be weary of.

Looking at the taller, older man with a suspicious expression, Ienzo rolled his eyes then closed them, shaking his head and sighing out.

"Fine, I suppose I should count to ten." A snort, then, under his breath, he added, "As ridiculous as this is."

"Just count already."

"OKAAAAAAAY. One, two, three, four, five, six--"

"Too fast, go slower."

"Now that's something I have never heard you say."

"Stop being a perverted little boy and just count."

"Is that a hint of annoyance I hear in your voice?"

"IENZO."

"FINE." Another snort. "Ooooone, twooooo, threeeeeee, fooooour, fiiiiiiive, siiiii--"

Ienzo's eyes shot wide open when his lips were suddenly against Aeleus'.

In a kiss.

He felt his face flush.

As Aeleus' tongue -- OH GOD HIS TONGUE-- brushed against his lips as he pulled away, he saw what could have been described as the most pleased yet evil expressions he had ever seen on that man's face.

"Happy Birthday, Ienzo," Aeleus said as he ruffled the boy's hair and moved passed him.

Ienzo's face was absolutely and positively the most red it has and ever will be. His jaw was down, and he looked absolutely dumbfounded.

"W-what?" he said softly, his head tilting to the side.
