"He thought, he'd think.."

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, if I did I would get Sasuke and Sakura already busy with baby-making. XD

It was often commented on, during his training years with Orochimaru. During the spring time he'd smile every now and then. Uchiha Sasuke would think to himself, 'Are you growing stronger, Sakura? And how strong? What do you look like, now that another spring has past? Are you still the same?' He's heard whispers from others that his smiles only occur during the spring. He'd have to agree. In the spring, the Cherry Blossoms only appear so vividly in his mind; the bright pink matching his old teammate's hair.

His smiles, however subtle, were soft and small. The warm spring air caressed his cheek and he thought it was her hand. The wind would sometimes whip viciously at his person, and he'd think that someone's gotten her angry. Possibly, she was upset with him. He wouldn't have blamed her if that were true. The petals danced in the air and his eyes would follow and he's noticed on more than one occasion that swirled in the direction of Konoha.

'Are trying to get me to come back?' he thought. The Dance of the Cherry Blossoms was tempting to follow but his vengeful side; his darker side wrapped their black tentacles around him and tugged him farther into the darkness.

In the storm of petals, the winds seemed to have taken the melody of her voice and made him shiver. She was haunting him, reminding him of his betrayal, that he left her on that cold bench. The petals whirled in patterns and he'd almost thought she was there standing in the swirls of pink. "Come home, Sasuke-kun." He shook off the urge to reply.

Once, he'd given in to the sweet, tempting calling ( a siren's call, he thought) and followed it to the borders of Oto. The petals left into the lands of Konoha, and he'd bid them farewell. He wished her well. The time that Sakura was there was short. One time, he watched the brutal winds take her away, leaving the Cherry Blossom trees bare.

And he'd think, 'Good Bye, Sakura.'
