This story is kinda based on Sharpay attitude in HSM2 (you can watch it for free if you, like me, have verizon.) She's meaner, but shows a more vunerable side. In this story she's sick, but Troy sees through her mean act.
Chapter 1 Maybe I Should Have Stayed Home
When Sharpay woke up, her head ached. She got up, feeling slightly dizzy and nauseas. But she decided to go to school anyway. It's Ryan's turn to drive, I can nap on the way there…
After taking a shower, applying tons of concealer, and putting on a perfect outfit, she felt a little bit better and decided she could definitely go to school. She came downstairs only to find her mother. Weird, Ryan's always ready before me. Even before she could ask her mother where Ryan was, her mom explained that Ryan had the flu and would be staying at home. Sharpay groaned wishing she had realized she might end up driving herself. She was definitely going to school though. There was going to be an understudy run-through after school, and she refused to miss it. She half ate a piece of toast before leaving for school. She took a few deep breaths and then drove off to school.
After she got to school, she shot the meanest glares she could at everyone hoping they would leave her alone. No such luck. One certain eternal optimist was practically following her. She half – growled and then turned to face him.
"What do you want, Bolton?" she spat out at him.
"Geez Sharpay, don't be so harsh. I was just wondering where Ryan is."
"Why do you care? Does it even matter?"
"Well, kinda. See I have basketball practice and if Ryan's here, I don't have to go to rehearsal today. It's only for understudies today, remember?"
This flu bug must be affecting her brain, because Sharpay had momentarily forgotten that Ryan was her partner in the understudy rehearsals. She actually could have stayed home. She sighed, thinking of the soups and special treatment she could have gotten. But then an even better thought struck her. She could use this rehearsal to steal her role back. Troy was cute. And acting as a role with someone other than her brother would be a million times better. She could use this rehearsal to show Darbus that she could be a ten times better Minnie than that stupid Montez girl. She then realized she had been standing speechless in front of Troy for the past five minutes and he probably thought she was an idiot.
"He's sick, okay? And you know the rules of theater. The show must go on. Even if it is just rehearsal."
"Are you sure you're okay too, Sharpay? You kinda spaced out for a second there."
She blushed while furiously saying, "of course I'm okay. Don't you think I would have stayed home with my brother if I was sick? Just make sure you're at rehearsal!"
And with that she took off for homeroom to explain Ryan's absence to Ms. Darbus
