Hey There
"Hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York City? I'm a thousand miles away, but girl tonight you look so pretty, yes you do. Times Square can't shine as bright as you, I swear it's true."
Unlike most of the songs on Finn's numerous mix CD's, this song was pleasant. Stork would sometimes moan and groan at the obscene lyrics of his Hot Action Cop songs, or roll his eyes at the utter happy, giddy lyrics of the Venga Boys or Aqua he would sometimes sing out loud.
But today, Finn turned down the volume and was just relaxing at the lounge table, sometime during the night when neither of them could really sleep.
"Hey there Delilah, don't you worry about the distance. I'm right there if you get lonely, give this song another listen, close your eyes. Listen to my voice, it's my disguise; I'm by your side."
Stork sighed, keeping his eyes open for vampires with jetpacks and dangerous-looking clouds that could possibly consume the ship. What he didn't notice at first was the fact that Finn had stopping singing.
Stork didn't know whether to protest or to keep quiet. It could be a prank after all; one that will finally give him a fatal heart attack and send him into the doom he had seem coming since the beginning of the Storm Hawks.
…Or he could've just fallen asleep.
Stork glanced back, noticing that Finn's head had found the table where his feet had been earlier, wrapped together in his arms.
He looked back at the sky in front of him, steering slightly out of the way of a cloud that looked oddly a black-feathered duck…
Finn's soft humming from the table brought some sort of relief back. At least he hadn't gotten a brain fungus yet from that blasted headphone set…
When something grabbed onto his shoulder, Stork stiffened. Which was odd, because Stork usually jumped around like crazy at any sort of contact...
"A thousand miles seems pretty far, but they've got planes and trains and cars, I'd walk to you if I had no other way."
Oh, it was Finn… Finn?
"Our friends would all make fun of us, and we'll just laugh along because we know that none of them have felt this way. Delilah I can promise you that by the time we get through, the world will never ever be the same-"
He stiffened even further when he felt a breath over his ear, "And you're to blame…"
He paused again, and Stork felt his other hand wrap underneath his arm and clasp his fingers on the other side, locking him in place.
"Hey there Delilah, you be good and don't you miss me. Two more years and you'll be done with school, and I'll be making history like I do. You'll know it's all because of you… We can do whatever we want to. Hey there Delilah here's to you, this ones for you."
At least Finn wasn't a bad singer, or else this would've been somewhat uncomfortable.
"Oh, it's what you do to me, ohhhh, it's what you do to me."
His grip slightly tightened. "Oh, it's what you do to me."
"Oh it's what you do to me, what you do to meeeeeee, oh-hooooooooo-"
And then, Finn released Stork completely, spinning around the room and singing out the last few notes of the song.
When he finally stopped, he was facing the door to the bedrooms. He lowered his headphones to his shoulders with a sigh.
"Yanno, Stork, that's a really, really good song."
Stork chuckled, watching Finn grab absently at his CD player to pause the next song and shut it off with a yawn, and make his way to the bedrooms.
"Yeah…sure."
A/N: Yeah, so…well, this is dedicated to Sky-Knight-Myde. Because she rawks out loud.

But I'm sure you knew that.
