The clock struck midnight. Vincent sighed. The room looked truly magnificent right now. The lights were turned off and the moonlight filled the room, making everything appear to flow. His metal 'armor' shined brightly. He got up from his huge lounge Gothic looking char and put on his cape. He buckled together the cloth so it covered his mouth. He picked up his gun and checked for ammo and placed it in the gun sock. He silently moved towards the door. He placed his hand on the door knob, the two pieces of metal clanking when the touched. He paused. He felt like he was being watched.. Vincent swiftly took out the gun and clicked it.
"Who's there," he wanted to say, by he dare not. He wouldn't make the first move. No, not this time. Nobody was there... and he knew it, too. It was that damn little voice in his head which was telling him lies.
He raised a hand slowly to his forehead under the cloth. He was sweating. The room began to spin.
"Stop it, damn you," he said as he fell against the wall.
He frantically tried to grab onto something to catch himself from falling and somehow give him some support. He found nothing. His mouth was dry. He gasped for air and suddenly passed out, falling to the ground.
Morning...
He opened his amber eyes, only to see a sad look stuck on Cloud's face. Cloud? He looked like an angel as a matter of fact. He looked like he was glowing because of the light making it's way through the room. His golden hair and dazzling blue eyes only made him look.. well.. beautiful.
Vincent's dry lips parted to speak, but nothing came out. He took his hand and ran it through Cloud's silky hair so he had a firm grip on the back of the boy's head. He slowly forced Cloud's face closer to his. Cloud's cheeks turned a soft pink color due to the short distance their faces were from each other.
He finally managed to whisper, "Cloud, why are you here?"
Cloud's face softened and he went from holding Vincent to hugging him. It felt awkward to be hugging the emotionless Vincent but Cloud quickly got over it.
"Well, I just decided to drop by and say hello since I was passing by. I knocked on your door but I didn't get an answer. I looked through the window and saw you here on the floor, passed out. You, luckily, had your door unlocked so I came in and tried to figure out what happened.. then... well.. I found all of these empty beer cans on the floor here. ...I hope you're okay, Vincent..." Cloud told him.
"I was drunk.. wasn't I?" Vincent asked softly.
Cloud hugged him tighter, "Mhmm.."
Vincent debated whether or not if he should hug Cloud back. If he did, Cloud would know that he has a soft side, just like how he knows that Cloud secretly has a constant need for attention. If he let Cloud become exposed to this side of himself, Cloud will only become more attached to Vincent. Who knows what else will happen if he does this. If he didn't, however, he would feel guilty for not giving what Cloud needs. Plus, it was nice enough of Cloud to even make sure that his drunk ass was okay. This is probably a once chance thing he thought to himself.
Vincent rested his head on Cloud's broad but skinny shoulder and took the smaller man into his grasp as well. A smile came across Cloud's face.
"Thank you, Cloud."
