Axel was content as he sat upon the Clock Tower in Twilight Town with Roxas. They went there often, to escape the prison of a castle they stayed at. Comfortable silence filled the air around them. Not the kind of awkward silence, the kind where you want to get up and leave as fast as you can. No, they were both happy, or as close to happy as they could get. Axel was first to break the silence.
"Hey, Roxas?" he asked.
Roxas looked up at him, cocking his head just barely.
"Do you remember what I first said to you after you joined the Organization?"
Roxas nodded in reply. "You said 'Hey, kid. Do you like ice cream?'"
Axel laughed. "That's right, and then I took you here, and we ate ice cream together."
Roxas nodded. "Axel, why did you bring this up suddenly?" he asked.
Axel ignored him and continued on with his little questionnaire. "And, do you remember the first time I came into your room?"
Again, Roxas nodded. "You burned my door down, and when I asked you why, you shrugged and helped me put up a new one."
"Do you remember our first mission together?"
"We had to patrol outside of the castle and you threw snowballs at me. Axel, really, why all the questions?" he replied, getting slightly irritated.
There was a pause, and Axel said nothing. Just before Roxas was about to asked again, Axel closed the distance between them in kissed him deeply on the lips.
"Do you remember the first time I kissed you?"
Roxas blushed furiously as Axel pulled away from him. Then, he kissed Axel again, smiling into it. When he pulled back, his reply came,
"You asked me a whole bunch of pointless questions, and then I kissed you back."
With that, Roxas stood up and disappeared through a portal. Axel stood up smirking after he'd left, summoning his own portal back.
"Perfect score."
