Disclaimer: It's all Jo's.
She entices him with her rainbow hair and golden smile, with her constant clumsiness and never-ceasing optimism. In his world of bleakness and dull colour, she is the light that drew him out.
Sirius was more observant than most people thought, and it had been him who had given them several shoves in the right direction. Actually, it was more like a few big pushes, but it got them together in the end. He reflects now that the whole Order must have noticed. Molly and her furtive glances over the stove, Kingsley with his arching eyebrows whenever he saw them together, even Mad-Eye with his almost-smiles as he checked in on things. Were they really that obvious?
She wasn't rainbows for awhile. She had only just begun to get back colour when her parents were killed. Murdered, actually, in the dead of night. Instead of the dull brown hair and pasty complexion of mourning she had acquired when Sirius had died and he himself had rejected her for the umpteenth time, her features were more visible in a crowd than ever before, if that was possible. Now she had dark brown hair, nearly black, flying loose about her shoulders. Her pale skin that seemed almost lit by moonlight coupled with high cheekbones and a rosebud mouth made her an obvious Black. He didn't mind. In fact, he whispered as she drew close to him, he thinks she looks prettier this way.
Now she stands in their bedroom, screwing up her face at the mirror to make the silliest hairstyles she can imagine. Her neon green sleeping shirt clashes horribly with deep purple pyjama pants, but she somehow pulls it off. As she turns to grin at him her arm manages to send the alarm clock toppling to the ground.
But that's the way he likes it, because she's rainbows.
