There's Always Love

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto!

A/N: I wrote this WAY back and edited it recently so I apologize if it sounds a little extreme for Sakura to be doing this.

Sakura stood at the edge of a cliff overlooking the village. It was 500 ft. drop from the cliff the ground. Unless using chakra to guide her along the trees, she was a goner.

All her life she had chased after Sasuke, treating those who cared about with attitude. She didn't care what Naruto had to say or what anybody else but Sasuke said for that matter. Everything she worked for, her dreams came crashing down to the ground and now…pain overcame everything.

Now that he left, her heart was empty and she was filled with grief. She took a step forward and watched Ino chasing Shikamaru around the courtyard. They were full of innocence and love. Love that Sakura could never have anymore. She had pushed everybody who ever loves her away, she sighed. She had blown everything and now she wanted nothing more to die rather than a painful life.

Closing her eyes, she pushed her left foot back to jump off when a familiar voice stopped her.

"Sakura-chan, what are you doing? Stop it this instant!" The voice cried as he hurried to her.

Sakura turned around to see none other than Rock Lee, the Green Beast of Konoha, running up to her. He stopped a few paces short and panted.

"I knew…it was you…up there." He said in between pants. "I could not…let you do…that, you know."

What Lee said intrigued her. What did he mean he couldn't let her do that yet?

"Why? I pushed everybody who cared away because of my obsession with Sasuke. " She said to him, tears glistening in her eyes.

Lee got closer to her and with one hand, brushed her tears away.

"Listen, I care about you." He smiled. "I would not let a pretty cherry blossom like you end her life brutally."

Sakura blushed. "I didn't know you even still cared, Lee. After what I treated everybody for Sasuke-,"

"He is the past, forget him." Lee edged a little closer to Sakura. "And yes, Sakura-chan, I care about you a lot, I have always had and I always will." The last part made Sakura smile.

"Come on, Sakura," He offered his hand. "Let us go down and get some ramen. Naruto is paying."

Sakura took his hand and they made their way down. She felt herself blushing at the way Lee's hand was warm unlike Sasuke's rough, cold hands.

The two sat at Ichiraku's ramen stand. Naruto, like usual, was gobbling down ramen without a care of the world.

"Here you are two miso ramen." Ayame placed down two bowls in front of Lee and Sakura.

"Itadakamisu!" They said in unison.

"Ah!" Sakura spat out her ramen; it was hotter than usual.

"Careful, there, Sakura-chan, blow on it first." Lee reminded gently. He brushed a leaf out of her hair and smiled warmly.

"Oh, gomen! Arigato, Lee-kun." She said sheepishly, blowing on her soup. It hadn't occurred to her that she had called Lee 'Lee-kun'.

"No need to apologize." He blushed a little at the 'kun' part. For a while, there was silence except for the slurping of ramen from Naruto.

"Arigato." Sakura said again, when they were finished. "For knocking some sense into me." She added the last part rather quietly.

"No, problem, Sakura-chan." He whispered into her ear and gave her a peck on the cheek. "I'll walk you home."

As they walked, Sakura couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for him. Unknowingly, her hand slipped under Lee's.

"Good Night, Sakura." Lee said when they reached her house. Her reluctantly detached her hand from his and as he turned around, somebody grabbed his arms and twisted him back to her face. The two met in a brief kiss.

That night, Sakura learned somebody would always love and care for her, no matter how many times she rejected him.

Read and Review! Sorry the ending is cheesy.
