Surreally got me
Richie stared in fascination at the scene playing out before him. Then he screwed his eyes shut and rubbed them furiously. He opened them cautiously, hoping that the hallucination had vanished, but they were still there. The bank he was in was being robbed by two slightly larger than average mice.
Then one of them spoke, "Good afternoon. If everyone remains calm and nobody tries to be a hero then we shall be out of here momentarily. I apologise for our actions but we require funds for a scientific project." The taller of the two then raised a gun and pointed it at a teller (how he was managing such a tremendous weight Richie had no idea).
The teller, shaken from the initial shock, began to laugh, which was soon joined by the rest of the room. The smaller mouse walked over to the gun and with a great deal of effort pushed the trigger, firing a shot into the ceiling. This made everyone scream and duck, so Richie took the opportunity to dash forward and grab the gun.
He picked it up and the mice were left dangling. "Unhand us sir," demanded the smallest, "or I shall be forced to take drastic action."
"Narf!" concurred the other. Richie shook his head, laughing and shook them off the gun so they landed in his rucksack.
"You are a most brilliant and brave adversary sir! I commend you." came the cry from the bag as Richie zipped it shut. He handed the bag and gun to a bewildered looking guard and walked toward the door.
As he walked away he could still hear muffled voices from the bag.
"This wasn't one of my most brilliant plans Pinky. I'll have to come up with something better for tomorrow night."
"Why? What are we going to do tomorrow night Brain?"
"Same thing we do every night Pinky, try to take over the world."
