Hell Kaiser Ryou was a hard man to understand, Edo decided.
He had just be wandering aimlessly around the campus when footsteps caught his attention. He had veer around to be greeted face to face with a tall, daunting figure whose gothic outfit immediately isolates his identity to none other than the king of levitating leather belt straps himself—Hell Kaiser. Now the two pro league duelists, though one was a mere teen and the other an adult, stood in an ambiance that reeked of acquaintance. Edo didn't get how Ryou could be so damned cool about befriending a guy who had crushed his world only half a year earlier. In all honesty, Edo was surprised when the cobalt-haired boy didn't take up his offer for a rematch. He was sure Ryou desired revenge.
"…so." He started, trying to break his record of four syllables. "I heard the Gem Beasts are on this island. Owned by a guy named Johan Andersen."
"Hn."
"Befriended Juudai from what I heard. Heh. That's no a surprise."
"Hn."
"Yeah. They're real good friends."
"Hn."
"It's interesting, isn't it?"
With a sharp turn to face the silver-haired boy, Ryou opened his mouth, ready to sneer, "ask me if I care," when Edo said the strangest string of words ever while fiddling idly with his tie.
"I think they're gay."
Ryou closed his mouth and went back to staring at the tree in front of him.
"..."
Edo Phoenix was a hard man to understand, Ryou decided.
