Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee were all sitting in the Giant Drill, waiting to reach Ba Sing Se.

"I'm bored," yawned Mai.

"Go torture some of the workers and make them work harder. We're not going fast enough," snapped Azula.

"Where's the fun in that?" Ty Lee piped up.

"Fun? What's that?" Mai was sounding vaguely interested.

"It's just... um... here, let me spell it for you!" Ty Lee began to sing:

"F is for friends who do stuff together

U is for you and me

N is for N-y-where, N-y-time at all

Down here in the deep blue sea!"

Azula smirked.

"F is for fire that burns down the whole town!

U is for uranium-- bombs!

N is for no survivors WHEN YOU-"

Mai yawned. "Sounds boring."

"No, Mai, that's not what fun is all about! Now, do it like this:

F is for friends who do stuff together

U is for you-"

"Nah, that's stupid."

"Here, let me help you!"

Ty Lee cart-wheeled over to where Mai was sitting. "Here, let me help you!"

The hyper acrobat grabbed Mai's wrists and flailed her arms around in time with the music.

"F is for friends who do stuff together

U is for you and me

N is for N-y-where, N-y-time at all

Down here in the deep blue sea!"

Mai's eyes widened. "I feel all tingly inside!" she gasped. "Should we stop?"

"Mai, that's what fun is supposed to feel like!"

"I... I like it," she realized, amazed with herself. "Let's do it again!"

"F is for frolic through all the flowers

U is forukulele

N is for nose-picking, gum chewing and sand licking

Right here with my best buddy!"

Azula shivered. Mai was creepy when she wasn't bored. It was so... un-Mai-ish.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Ha ha ha ha ha ha

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Later

"Mai, wanna sing the fun song again?"

"Nah, being bored is so much fun!"

I had this idea before I got my account back from being on hiatus. It was originally going to be Zuko instead of Mai, but Mai seemed to fit this better. I might do Zuko singing Sandy Cheek's 'I Wanna Go Home,' only I'll mess it up a bit. Hee Hee.
