World War Three, that's what they call it. Was it a world war because the last world super power fell to ruin or was it because everyone in the world was against us? I was too young to understand and am too busy now to care. I remember it began with our invasion of Iran; it was Iraq all over again. Our soldiers were treated as liberators and later, as occupiers. Later that year, Russia and China formed an alliance to halt our "Imperialistic" ambitions in Asia.

Me and my parents were oblivious to the horror that would come next. Soon an invasion force of imperial China crossed the pacific and invaded mainland US. California, Nevada and Oregon immediately fell to their merciless onslaught. The war continued spread across the homeland until it reached my hometown of South Park, Colorado.

What I haven't mentioned yet is a boy; well, he's not a boy anymore. The one who was always there for me and the friendship that carried me through the darkest hours. A bond built on trust and loyalty, my brother in every way but blood. This is our story of survival and how our world changed for ever.
