Tea

"Good morning Sasuke-kun."

(Sasuke despises the endearment in the tone, but nevertheless-) Look up. Glare. Twitch of the lips. Smirk. Frown. Acknowledgement. (Kabuto smiles a little at this and the pot of tea and double set of cups he sets in front of Sasuke is laced with something deadly, and, to an extent, the both of them know it-) Drink. Know. Stare. (And it doesn't set in immediately, but silently, both of them are waiting.) Blink. Look away. Drink. (Knock it back, knock it back, pick up the pace, pick up the heartbeat, toxic, toxic!) Smirk. (Maybe? Or smile. The expression on Sasuke's face is an interesting little one.)

"Good morning Kabuto-kun."

Drink. (Like a drag. They know it's not made for drinking. But maybe a high. Just a high for two who needed it desperately. Just a little motion, just a little closer to the death so much deserved-) Stare. Sip. Empty. No more. Crack. Gasp. (And a bubble of red appears on Sasuke's thumb as a chip of porcelain falls to the table, and Sasuke only stares ay it as the tough skin begins to dye itself-) Bleed. Stare. Blink. Touch. (Let Go. Let Go. Let Go. Let Go.)

"You're bleeding."

(Observations, observations.) Stare. Glare. Drip. (And he doesn't move as the blood edges down his hand, quickly, quickly, pick up the pace, pick up the flow, the bleed, the toxin-) Touch. Twitch of the lips. Stare. Anger. (-Not yet red, not yet.)

"Yes I am."

Irritated smirk. (Kabuto watches him bleed a little more, a little deeper, a little more Sasuke on his-) Touch. Hold. Pull. Suck. (And Sasuke's expression doesn't waver when Kabuto pulls his thumb between his lips and the heat of his tongue dabbing at the wound wakes up a depressed sense of feel-) Stare. Release. Smirk. (The air on his thumb is warm for a second, but suddenly it's freezing and he doesn't care. Sasuke doesn't care because Sasuke never cares. Sasuke doesn't care because he doesn't have to care.) Blink. Stare. Smirk.

"More tea, Sasuke-kun?"

Stare. Look away. Look back. Nod. Pour. Steam. Breathe. (And steadily his thumb begins to bleed again, and he is sure Kabuto notices, because like any doctor, Kabuto notices everything.)
