He smiles coldly despite the warmth; harsh and angry light reflecting off the wire-rimmed glasses as petals rain from the heaven painted sky. Cupids dance across the room and exotic trees and vines carpet the walls and floor. How beautiful, he hears. Isn't she so lucky?

He feels empty. Hollow as he straightens his tie and brushes back the inky black bangs. He wonders momentarily why, but the gloved hand pressed against his arm interrupts. She's beautiful. Dressed in a simple white gown reminisce of the moon. The brown eyes just as naive and innocent as before, shadowed by gathered bangs and a veil of white. She hasn't changed a bit. Still Daddy's little girl.

But that's alright, he thinks as he lets her go; watching his friend take her from his grasp.

Because while she'll always be her Daddy's girl, It's Mommy's hand that rocked the cradle.
